A friend and fellow Rocky Horror fan recently had major heart surgery so couldn’t join us in Milton Keynes at the weekend to see the show. This was quite difficult for him as he is a HUGE fan and has been following the show for years.
As we knew that his lovely wife was going to be attending the show, I decided to surprise him by making a large ‘get well’ card that all of the cast signed for her to take home.
Now, I know that this gentleman is not one for taking it easy and following Doctor’s orders, so the card I made reflected this. It’s a play on the old ‘Frankie says Relax’ t-shirts from back in the day, and also a line from the Rocky Horror Show where the character of Frank tells another character to ‘relax’.
I reached for my Layered Letters Alphabet which is a great stamp set for personalising projects and Gorgeous Grunge for my background, as well as lots of Real Red and Basic Black which are the main colours of the show.
As you know, I’m not a fan of glitter, but my friend certainly is, so I used Red Glimmer Paper for the punched hearts to complement the sequins, rhinestones and Wink of Stella Clear. I think you can see all of these in a bit more detail in the picture below.
I had a lovely message back from my friend so I know that it was well received. Let’s just hope he follows the instruction so that he can be back doing the Timewarp with us again soon 🙂
