Last week’s Card & Cuppa – Butterfly Basics

Wow! What an amazing weekend that was!

When I wasn’t teaching or preparing for classes, I spent as much time as possible hooked on the Olympics. If anyone sees me today, I may need matchsticks to keep my eyes open!

As it is Monday, it’s time to show you last week’s Card & Cuppa project.

Stampin' Up! Butterfly Basics

This is slightly different to my ‘usual’ style but I really like the finished design.

It uses a stamp set called Butterfly Basics. I’ve used this set at a friend’s house many times in the past and finally got around to adding my own set to my collection. This is the only set that comes in Wood, Clear and Photopolymer and it also co-ordinates with thinlits too. I cut out the co-ordinating butterfly shapes in advance for the attendees to use.

As I knew that I would be using this set for a lot of collage-type designs, I chose the Photopolymer so that I could see through the images as I am creating projects.

In this picture you can see the layering of the different images and the gold thread we wrapped behind the butterfly.

This week at Card & Cuppa we are running our 2nd Card & Cuppa for Children session today with regular sessions the rest of the week.

If you’d like to join us for Card & Cuppa sessions then make sure you have booked your place by 18:00 the night before so that I have enough kits and chairs available. Book your place here.

Happy crafting
