Last week’s Card & Cuppa – Swirly Bird

Well, didn’t July just fly by?

It’s the start of August and also a Monday, so that means it must be time to show you last week’s Card & Cuppa project.

This project was a card for a male. We make a male inspired card around every six weeks.

 Stampin' Up! Swirly Bird

I reached for the very versatile Swirly Bird stamp set and the colours Night of Navy and Pacific Point.

The kite is made up of two stamps, plus, as the set is photopolymer you can line them up really easily. I love the movement in the tails that is created using the tiny bow stamp.

For the sun, we used the aqua painters to enhance the image.

The clouds and sentiment are from the two balloon sets Balloon Celebration and Balloon Builders.

Here you can see how we mounted the kites onto the page, with a glue dot at the bottom and a dimensional at the top to make it look like they are flying.

This card was greatly received from my Father-in-law for his Birthday. As it was his Birthday during the week, I just happened to have a great card on hand.

This week, we are holding our first Card & Cuppa for Children session so if you want to attend any Card & Cuppa sessions, they are running at the other two venues.

We are back to ‘normal’ next week!

Happy crafting
