Last Week’s Card & Cuppa – Baby Bear

At last week’s Card & Cuppa we made a project that would be suitable for anyone of any age.

Here is the project we made:

Stampin' Up! Baby Bear

Isn’t he cute? Plus, everyone loves teddy bears don’t they?

I decided to use make him a more ‘traditional’ teddy bear so used a Very Vanilla base to give him a more vintage feel. I then used Sahara Sand, Soft Suede and Early Espresso for the three-step stamping. The lighter colour is the more solid base image and you then add the darker colours on top to build the picture with the more detailed images.

The image is really crisp and clear and someone even commented that it looked like it had been printed rather than stamped 🙂

The balloon and bow are stamped using the same colour – Tangerine Tango, with the bow being two-step stamped by stamping off first for the base image.

Both the balloon and bow have been punched out. The bow uses the new Holly Berry Builder Punch from the new Autumn/Winter Catalogue.

I used the Tangerine Tango from the bow and balloon as the card base and the darkest colour from the bear – Early Espresso as the layer to tie all of the colours together.

You could quite easily change the look of this bear card by using different colours for the bear, bow and balloon and changing the sentiment, just as I’ve done with the card below.

Stampin' Up! Baby Bear

To make this Wedding Anniversary card I’ve switched Tangerine Tango for Real Red, the round balloon for the heart-shaped one (I’ve fussy cut this) and changed the sentiment too.

If you’d like to join us at one of week’s Card & Cuppa sessions (Monday/Wednesday/Thursday) then please book your place by 18:00 the night before.

Happy crafting
