For Week 3, Day 2 of the Crafty Christmas Weekend Workouts I’m going to show you another card that would be perfect for youngsters to create.
Altogether now, ‘Do you wanna build a… ‘(sorry, I bet you’ve got that song in your head now!)
This project uses two stamps from the Totally Trees Stamp Set. I’ve had this idea bubbling around in my head ever since I saw this stamp set. I just knew that the tree shape would make a perfect carrot nose, and the round circles eyes and mouth.
Like yesterday’s project, the base card is a Notecard, this time in Whisper White that comes pre-cut, scored with matching envelopes in a pack of 20.
Along with the stamp set and the notecards, you’ll need Whisper White Cardstock to stamp on and punch out two eyes, Tempting Turquoise Cardstock for the layer, 1″ Circle Punch, two inkpads and adhesives.
I’ve used Pumpkin Pie and Basic Black Ink – Basic Black is Archival, so more permanent on hands than standard inks. Therefore, you may want to use a grey or brown instead, depending on how messy your young people get!
The eyes have been highlighted with Wink of Stella for a bit of sparkle, but you could use a Chalk Marker Pen instead.
I hope you enjoy making the two fun projects I’ve shared with you this weekend with your young people. They would make great cards for teachers or classmates.
Pop back next weekend for more Crafty Christmas Weekend Workouts.
