I hope you had a great weekend and are ready to start the week.
At last week’s Card & Cuppa classes we made this pretty banner card.
Everyone made their own selection of 1cm, 1.5cm and 2cm banners. We also made banners out of coordinating Washi Tape by sticking it to cardstock before cutting.
By lining up the centre of the Classic Label punch, we punched a banner shape in the ends, instead of cutting by hand. This just requires a little bit of tidying up by hand if your banners are wider than the punch. You could also use the Triple Banner Punch for this step, but would need to ensure the pieces were long enough to fit the punch first.
Due to there being over 20 different patterns, I didn’t prepare a base card in advance. I took a selection of coordinating colours along and the attendees chose one that fitted with their project. This is also the reason for using Basic Black as an accent colour for the mat, bow and stamping too.
Banner cards are perfect projects for paper hoarders as you don’t use a lot of paper, and can show off both sides of the paper too.
To join us at next week’s classes make sure you book your place by 18:00 the day before.
Happy crafting
