This is the final project from the recent In Color Introduction Class.

It’s a stamp-free card with a combination of all of the In Color 2017-19 colours and the fabulous new Happy Birthday Thinlit.

We firstly cut the sentiment from a piece of Very Vanilla 10cm wide and put the ‘Happy Birthday’ to one side.

Then we added 2cm wide strips of In Color Cardstock onto the Very Vanilla piece.  My top tip is to start with the middle strip using grid paper to line it up and then add the other strips either side.

Next we added a length of Very Vanilla Baker’s Twine and tied it in a bow before attaching the coloured section to a Thick Very Vanilla Cardstock base using Dimensionals.

The finishing touch was attaching the sentiment using the Fine-Tip Glue Pen.

This card is really quick and easy to make and is perfect for both males and females.  You could create a different look by changing the base card, senitment and twine to Basic Black or Whisper White.  Another option is to add bling to the finished project for a touch of sparkle.

I know of at least two happy receipients of these cards that were made during the class.
