As it was the Birthday of one of my regular class attendees a few weeks ago, I had to make her a card.
Here is the Hardwood meets Swirly Bird Birthday card I made.
This lovely lady is a fan of orange and I know she is a keen gardener too. With that in mind, I chose to create a scene that looked like flowers growing up a fence or shed.
By stamping tone-on-tone with the Hardwood Stamp in Sahara Sand I created the wooden effect. I then wrapped a piece of the new Whisper White 1/8″ Sheer Ribbon and tied in a bow.
Next I used the Swirly Bird Stamp Set and coordinating Swirly Scribbles Thinlits for the stems, leaves and flowers. These are a mixture of Pear Pizzazz with Wild Wasabi stamping and Peekaboo Peach with Tangerine Tango stamping.
I used the fabulous new Mini Dimensionals to attach the flowers, no more having to cut the large dimensionals in half.
Finally I added the sentiment using the Thoughtful Banners Stamp Set and some Rhinestones in the centre of the flowers.
Happy crafting
