Last Week’s Card & Cuppa – Number of Years

At last week’s Card & Cuppa class there was one decision that needed to be made by each attendee.  To grunge, or not to grunge…

Stampin' Up! Number of Years

As you can see, there is a bit of a difference depending on your choice.

What is great about this project is that you have to create the crisp and clean stage first.  You then make the decision!

Stampin' Up! Number of Years

We used the Number of Years Stamp Set in Early Espresso and Rose Red to create the flowers and stamped the dots using Crumb Cake.

The Pretty Label and Triple Banner Punches create the sentiment and layer, with Burlap Ribbon behind.

For the grunge effect, it meant scrunching your pristine pieces of stamping to soften the fibres and then using Soft Suede to add the vintage look.  This was with a combination of Sponge Brayer and Sponge Dauber to highlight the creases.

The ribbon is a nice neat angle for the non-grunge version with some deliberate fraying for the grunge.

It was interesting to see the final projects as everyone created something completely different.

What would have been your decision?

Card & Cuppa sessions are taking a break for a few weeks but will be back w/c 16th October.  To join us, book your place by 18:00 the day before.

Happy crafting
