A good friend has is having a tough time at the moment, so what better way is there to send wishes than a hug in an envelope.
This friend is a big fan of red, a bit of pink and a LOT of sparkle. So, here is the card I made incorporating all of these.
The stamp set I’ve used is You’ve Got This and the background is stamped in Powder Pink.
I’ve then stamped the stalk of the flower in Garden Green and the flower head in Real Read, both onto Watercolour Paper.
Taking an Aqua Painter, I moved the ink around and coloured the flower and stem and set them aside to dry. Patience is required when making a project like this!
Butterfly Basics is the stamp set I chose for the sentiment and I stamped that straight onto the background.
Once the flower was dry, I coated it with Wink of Stella to add the obligatory sparkle. I’m not sure that the picture below does it justice but it is a VERY sparkly project!
I cut the flower and stem out and tied a Baker’s Twine bow around the stem.
The stem and flower head were then stuck to the project using a combination of Multipurpose Glue and Dimensionals. The stem is stuck down but I’ve raised the leaves using Mini Dimensionals to give more depth.
The finished item definitely fulfils the red and sparkle criteria!
Happy crafting
