Last week’s Card & Cuppa classes saw the return of a favourite, Swirly Bird.
This classy Birthday Card uses just three colours, Lemon Lime Twist, Peekaboo Peach and Sweet Sugarplum.
Firstly, the ‘splats’ were stamped across the cardstock. Next, a strip punched using the Decorative Ribbon Border was attached to the card.
We then took a 2″ Circle Punch and punched a hole in the card. Placing this piece over the Lemon Lime Twist Layer, we stamped tone-on-tone through the hole. This greeting is from the fabulous Happy Birthday Gorgeous Stamp Set.
These two stamp sets create a Happy Birthday Gorgeous Swirly Bird!
On separate strips of card we stamped multiple leaves and flowers before cutting out the leaves and punching out the flowers.
These were then SNAIL-ed around the edge of the hole before we used Dimensionals to attach the top to the sentiment layer. This adds a depth to the project and draws the eye to the sentiment.
Finally, we added Rhinestones to the centre of a handful of flowers.
