For last week’s Card & Cuppa project, I chose to design a card with a more masculine feel.

It uses just two stamp sets for the background, Timeless Textures and Playful Backgrounds. The sentiment comes from Picture Perfect Birthday.

My colour palette of Tranquil Tide, Night of Navy and Crumb takes inspiration from the True Gentleman DSP in the Spring/Summer Catalogue.

The stamping is on the left-hand 2 thirds of the card to avoid it looking too busy.

A sponge dauber and Crumb Cake ink adds some grunge to the project. There are three strips of ribbon across the project at different lengths and angles.

As one of the ribbons is crinkled, we scrunched the co-ordinating circle to mirror the effect.

I’ve a feeling I’ll be revisiting this project using different colours and sentiments.
