Last week’s Card & Cuppa project was Jar of Love meets Bunny Builder Punch. Due to the Bank Holiday, there was only one Card & Cuppa session.
The jar from Jar of Love is stamped twice, once on the main card and once on a separate piece of cardstock.
2nd generation stamping of Pool Party adds the water to the bottom, along with several stems, before cutting the jar out.
On the main card, it’s time to stamp the stems that will show above the jar. It’s part of the project that is a bit of smoke and mirrors – if you can’t see it, it isn’t there!
The separate jar overlays the base jar to cover the other stems. A fun Gray Granite bee with Wink of Stella wings creates a buzz by the leaves.
Next, it’s the turn of the flowers. On a separate piece of cardstock, Watercolor Pencils and imagination create a bespoke block of colour for the flowers. Blender Pens then soften the lines from the colouring. It’s personal choice as to the colour or effect of the flowers.
The Bunny Builder Punch then comes into play as the tail from the punch are perfect for creating flowers. Using the Blossom Builder Punch, you can make smaller flowers in a different colour too.
Every flower is given a Rhinestone centre and a Glue Dot back, for attaching to the project. More smoke and mirrors hides the double stamping of the stems by ensuring a few flowers cover the top of the jar.
Once again, for the layer for back of the sentiment, a piece of cardstock has the personal colour touch from Watercolor Pencils. This can match the flowers or be completely different as it’s a personal choice. The Duet Banner Punch creates the banner shape from the bespoke colouring.
Thoughtful Banners creates the outline for the ‘For You’ sentiment.
Due to the bespoke nature of the colouring, no two projects are the same with this design.
Join us for future Card & Cuppa sessions. Book your place by 18:00 the day before.
