After the random nature of the previous week’s class, I chose the Tailored Tag Punch for this clean and precise project.
It’s similar to this project I’ve taught previously, but this one covers the whole card front.
The project uses 10 Tailored Tag Punch shapes – 5 in each colour, plus a sentiment. ‘Happy Birthday’ is from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous Stamp Set.
Coastal Cabana and Basic Gray are my main colours and are inspired by the new decor in one of my Card & Cuppa venues.
It’s then just a cast of sticking each shape onto the Whisper White layer leaving small gaps between them.
Any overhanging pieces can then be used to fill in the small gaps along the sides.
A length of Whisper White Baker’s Twine tied in a knot goes across the middle before attaching the sentiment with Dimensionals.
I love this design as it can suit any occasion and is great for all ages. It’s also great as it uses minimal products. You could even use up your scraps to make a multi-coloured card. Or how about using the colours of a favourite sports team for a teenager?
