Don’t you just love it when you don’t need to think when you make a card?
This project is a sample from my Papercrafting: Pretty Paper Stash Buster Class. In this class I taught the attendees to use their Designer Series Paper, rather than hoarding/stroking it!
When a paper is as pretty as this Ornate Garden Specialty DSP, why not let it do the work for you? Just cut a piece of the DSP and stick it down.
By using a basecard in Thick Very Vanilla and a Basic Black layer, it makes the colours in the piece of DSP really pop.
In the Ornate Garden Specialty DSP pack, there are several sheets with lovely embossed gold foil designs on them. This is one of the sides without embossing, but is is equally as stunning.
All I’ve needed to do is add a sentiment from the Many Mates Stamp Set from the Annual Catalogue, cut out with a Circle Punch. This Stamp Set has 19 stamps for just £21.
I’m still undecided on whether to colour the letters for the sentiment in one or more colours of the DSP, or leave it as it is. I’ll need to decide before I send it!
This is a really quick and simple card to make. What is fabulous is that you can create 72 cards like this from a pack of DSP. Why not make a few ready to add a relevant sentiment to when needed? No thinking, no fuss, just stamp, punch, stick and send! Or, make a batch for someone as a gift.
Your biggest decision will be which side of the paper to use!
