Last Week's Card & (Your) Cuppa - Brilliant Wings Butterflies

As with the previous project, last week’s Card & (Your) Cuppa project was a request.

The attendees had seen this project and asked to recreate it, but in purple, and with an opportunity to grunge too.

For my purples, I chose Gorgeous Grape and Highland Heather, with Basic White.

A touch of grunge is added by scrunching the Basic White layer and adding some colour using a Blending Brush.

With the Blending Brush, colour is also added to the butterfly shapes, cut out using the Brilliant Wings Dies.

The strip of Gorgeous Grape across the centre is covered with the butterflies and the overhanging pieces are then removed. There are only four butterflies in total on the strip as various parts are used.

Once the strip is complete, it is stuck to the scrunched layer. These are then stuck to the card.

A sentiment from the Art Gallery Stamp Set is cut out and has a thin strip of Gorgeous Grape cardstock stuck behind it. It is then raised up on Dimensionals.

Finally, Pearls are added amongst the butterflies.
