Last week’s Card & Cuppa saw the start of our Christmas card projects. We only make Christmas cards at Card & Cuppa classes during our December sessions.
This card uses the Snowy Wonder Stamp Set & Dies Bundle from the Mini Catalogue.
It is actually inspired by a project in the catalogue. I’ve been fairly true to that original design.
First, a background of Pool Party snowflakes is stamped.
Then, the snowman and hat are stamped using Basic Gray and the holly in Shaded Spruce and Real Red. These are cut out using the dies, along with the mini snowflake and shaker globe top and bottom shapes.
Colouring of the carrot nose and the shading on the snowman are achieved in exactly the same way as this project I shared on Saturday.
The Basic Beige bottom piece is then stamped with the sentiment.
Next, lots of snow is stamped tone-on-tone onto the shaker globe top piece, before a layer of white snow is added.
This is created by cutting a curved shape, sticking it on top of the globe piece and then trimming away the excess.
Next, the top and bottom pieces are carefully stuck together.
The snowman is assembled and stuck to the snow. Then the snowflakes are added, with the holly attached using glue dots.
Dimensionals are then used on the back of the whole piece to raise it away from the background.
