Last week’s Card & Cuppa – Badges & Banners

It’s Monday morning again (albeit a soggy one!), so that means I get to show you the project we made at last week’s Card & Cuppa Session.

This card was suitable for a male and was the first Card & Cuppa project using products from the new catalogue.

Stampin' Up! Badges & Banners

Again, I took inspiration for this project from the new Catalogue. I love how the Annual Catalogue gives you an idea of how to use each stamp set.

We created our own striped background and have used a punched piece to create the tails of the shield.

There are 7 new products on this project, can you spot them all?

If you would like to join us for next week’s Card & Cuppa session, make sure you’ve registered your interest by 18:00 on Sunday so that I can have enough packs available and reserve the space at the cafe.

Yet more Penned & Painted

Do you find that when you have a stamp set or certain colours on your desk that you can’t stop at one project? Me too! That’s why today I’m bringing you another card made using the fabulous new Penned & Painted set.

Stampin' Up! Penned & Painted

This time, I’ve created my own background paper using three of the new In Color collection for 2016-18.

I’ve then added some ladybirds, one of the images in the set, and coloured them using Stampin’ Write Markers. Aren’t they cute? Don’t worry if you don’t have the markers, you could use an Ink Pad and Blender Pen instead.

For the sentiment, I’ve used two different types of ribbon to wrap around the banner.

This card is really quick and simple to make and it’s great to be able to create your own unique backgrounds.

More Penned & Painted

At the end of last week I showed you a project I’d made using the new Penned & Painted Stamp Set.

Here is another card inspired by the Annual Catalogue that I’ve made using this set.

Stampin' Up! Penned & Painted

I love the dots and as this set is Photopolymer, getting them all lined up in the right places is a breeze as you can see where you are stamping. I worked my way out from the middle then stamped the flowers over the top.

This design is really easy to make and you can easily change the sentiment, as I did here to suit most ocassions. You could also change the colours and ribbon too.

Last week’s Card & Cuppa – Flower Medallion

How is it Monday again already?

It is time for me to show you last week’s Card & Cuppa project.

7 ladies made this project and we used a tongue twister of a colour combination of Calypso Coral, Crushed Curry and Cucumber Crush!

Stampin' Up! Flower Medallion

To create the flower, the sun image from the Kinda Eclectic Stamp Set was used and then punched with the Flower Medallion Punch. We used a sponge dauber to dull the Whisper White of the flower slightly.

The Festive Flower Builder Punch also made an appearance for the leaves. Christmas punches aren’t just for December!

Here you can see how we curled the petals using a Bone Folder

If you want to join us for next week’s session then register your interest here before 18:00 on Sunday.

Hoppy Anniversary

Today is my Wedding Anniversary. 17 years ago we said ‘I do’.

Here is the card I made my Husband.

Stampin' Up! Love You Lots

As soon as I saw this stamp set I knew it was going to have to make an appearance in my craft room. I’m pleased it did as the frog is even more gorgeous in ‘real’ life. There are cute ladybirds, hedgehogs and an elephant with a mouse in this set too.

This set is only available to buy using Stampin’ Rewards so for those who have orders or party order totals of £150+ (before P&P).

Taking inspiration from the project design in the new Annual Catalogue, I’ve paired the In Color greens from last year and this year together and used the White Chalk Marker to colour in the eyes and speech bubble. The heart is from the Owl Builder Punch.

Two frog projects in as many days is making think that I may need to occasionally publish a ‘Frog Friday’ post!

This year’s frog!

You may have noticed by now that I like frogs!

Each year, when we say goodbye to old products and hello to new, I make a shape art frog for the year.

Here is the one I’ve made for 2016/17 using Emerald Envy and Cucumber Crush, sitting on his Garden Green lily Pad in his Tempting Turquoise pond!

Stampin' Up! Frog Punch Art

He’s going to be really useful as a bag tag at Stampin’ Up! events.

As we no longer have the oval punches, I’ve used the layering framelits instead. These are going to allow me to make larger frogs too. Watch this space, there may be a frog family making an appearance!

Here is a picture from a different angle.

Penned & Painted

I hope you are enjoying the new catalogue.

I’m loving it and have just received a big box full of brand new goodies that I couldn’t wait to start crafting with.

Here is just one project I’ve made using the new Penned & Painted Stamp Set.

Stampin' Up! Penned & Painted

This project is inspired by Page 143 of the Catalogue but I’ve added my own spin on the sentiment.

Can you see the cute tiny banner? ‘But Stampin’ Up! don’t sell a banner punch or framelit that small’ I hear you cry. Well, I’ll share a little trick with you on how you can make your own.

First, you need to punch out the sentiment using the new Classic Label punch. Then, you place the ends of the punched piece back into the side of the punch and remove the edges. See the picture below for a better explanation!

Stampin' Up! Classic Label

A really quick, simply and very easy way to create lots of tiny banners to fit your sentiments.

May Customer ‘Thank you’ cards

What better way to say ‘Thank you’ to all of my customers from the previous month than a handmade card using products from the brand new catalogue.

If you placed an order with me in person or online during May you should have received one of these. If you ordered online and ticked the ‘no contact’ box then I couldn’t send one to you as I don’t know who you are 🙁

Here is the card I made:
Stampin' Up! Playful Palette

It uses the Playful Palette Suite of Painter’s Palette Stamp Set, DSP and Washi Tape and is inspired by a project on page 119 of the new catalogue. The sentiment is from a new stamp set called Thankful Thoughts.

I used Blushing Bride and Black as my accent colours for the card with Very Vanilla as these are the colours on the sheet of DSP I chose to use. I then used the new In Color of Peekaboo Peach as the main colour.

I then made them again in batches of Emerald Envy and Sweet Sugarplum as they are the other colours used on the piece of DSP.

Stampin' Up! Playful Palette Stampin' Up! Playful Palette

I have to admit that I wasn’t sure about this stamp set at first, but now I’ve had the chance to use it a few times, I really like it. Do you find that you have stamp sets like that, they don’t jump off the page at you to begin with, but once you see a few samples or use the stamp set yourself, you change your mind?

Here they are all together, which is your favourite?

Due to the Bank Holiday last week, we didn’t have a Card & Cuppa session.

So, instead, I’m going to share another fabulous Stampin’ Up! promotion with you.

This is ‘More Stamps Please’ and is an excellent opportunity for anyone who has a new catalogue wish list that is as long as their arm, or has been thinking about joining Stampin’ Up! as a way to purchase discounted crafting products or starting a business as a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator.

For the month of June, everyone who joins Stampin’ Up! will receive 2 additional FREE stamp sets in their Starter Kit. That is an added value of up to £92, depending on which stamps you choose. This is on top of the £130 of products (plus business supplies and free shipping on the kit) that you can choose in your fully customisable Starter Kit for just £99.

Extra Rewards in June

The new catalogue has arrived and I have 3 questions for you:

Are you enjoying the new catalogue?

Is your wish list getting long?

Would you like an extra £25 to spend on products?

If you answered ‘yes’ to these then you need to take a look at the fabulous offer that Stampin’ Up! is running during June.

For every order of £250 or more (before P&P), you’ll receive an EXTRA £25 to spend on products. That is on top of the Stampin’ Rewards (at least 10% of the order) you would already receive. For example, if your order reached £250 you would be entitled to 10% in Stampin’ Rewards (£25), PLUS the extra £25 during June. That’s £50 extra to spend on a £250 order!

So, get a few friends together for a fun crafting event and you could spend, spend, spend!
