Above the Clouds for exam congratulations

At my recent Stamp-a-Stack Class, the attendees made this exam congratulations project using the Above the Clouds Stamp Set.

The colour combination is Seaside Spray for the clouds, with Gray Granite and Mint Macaron for the balloons. Soft Sea Foam and Very Vanilla are the accent colours.

Stamping some more of the small balloon outlines onto a separate piece of cardstock, colour is added using Watercolor Pencils. These are then fussy cut.

We also used the Dark Mint Macaron and Dark Soft Sea Foam Stampin’ Blends to colour lengths of Whisper White Baker’s Twine to use behind the sentiment.

The sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Birthdays Stamp Set but is a fabulous message for those who are receiving exam results. It’s cut out using the Classic Label Punch and stuck onto a punched circle background.

I’m really liking the versatility of this Above the Clouds Stamp Set. It is also part of a Bundle available in the new Catalogue with a co-ordinating Punch.

Card & Cuppa for Children – Ice Lollies for a Summer Holiday

Once again I ran Card & Cuppa for Children this week and the theme was ‘We’re all going on a summer holiday’. Who can resist these fabulous ice lollies.

First, the beach background was created using the clouds from Above the Clouds Stamp Set. The sea and beach were from the High Tide Stamp Set.

Balmy Blue, Bermuda Bay and So Saffron are the colours used.

To create the lollies, a piece of Pineapple Punch and Mango Melody cardstock had their corners rounded using the Detailed Trio Punch.

The chocolate sprinkles are from the Artisan Textures Stamp Set in Early Espresso. A cheeky bite is taken out of them using the 1 1/8″ Scallop Circle Punch.

Next, we created the striped lolly by using the Classic Label Punch and strips of various colours. These were attached to a piece of cardstock with the overhang then cut off.

Crumb Cake strips were used for the lolly sticks, with the pointed end removed.

A sun with a sentiment from the Rooted in Nature Stamp Set was added.

Finally, the ice lollies were attached, the striped one with Dimensionals to raise it above the others.

They look good enough to eat. Yum!

Above the Clouds with Terracotta Tile

Here is another of the Introduction to In Color Papercrafting Class projects.

This is Terracotta Tile and is teamed with a brand new Bundle from the Annual Catalogue.

This is the Above The Clouds Stamp Set and the Hot Air Balloon Punch Bundle.

The colour combination here is Terracotta Tile, Garden Green and Coastal Cabana.

It’s a really simple collage-style card with a variety of first and second generation stamping.

When it came to stamping and punching the balloons, I lined up both the balloon and basket stamps onto the same block so they could be punched out in one.

The sentiment is from Itty Bitty Birthdays.

Terracotta Tile In Color from Stampin' Up! Project designed by Karen at HIPPOFROG Designs

To create some depth, the darker version of the balloon is at the front and attached using Dimensionals.

It’s a great card for males or those who aren’t keen on more floral designs.
