Saying Farewell to 2023-2024 Products

Due to the Easter Bank Holiday, there wasn’t a Card & Cuppa session last week.

So, today I’ve decided to share six projects from the 2023-2024 Annual Catalogue that use some of the products leaving us at the end of the month.

Last Week’s Card & Cuppa – Pretty Petal Park in Pinks

Last week’s Card & Cuppa project combined the Petal Park Stamp Set and coordinating punch with pinks.

My colour combination was Petal Pink and Flirty Flamingo, with Shaded Spruce and Basic White.

For the background, the marbled image from Artistically Inked Stamp Set is stamped in second generation to create a subtle pattern.

Next, the flowers and leaves from the Petal Park Stamp Set are stamped in Flirty Flamingo and Shaded Spruce onto a separate piece of cardstock.

They are coloured using the Watercolor Pencils and a Blender Pen, with a touch of Wink of Stella in the centre.

These are then cut out using the Petal Park Builder Punch.

Let’s eat cake is from the Hearfelt Hexagon Stamp Set and cut out using the coordinating punch from the Bundle in the Mini Catalogue.

This bundle is on the Last Chance Products list, along with other items I’ve used on this project. If you want to get your hands on these items before they retire, then make sure you check out the list to see what is still available.

All of the leaves and flowers are then stuck to the background.

A length of the Petal Pink Ribbon from the Ribbon Duo Pack creates a swoosh for the sentiment to sit above on Dimensionals.

Finally, some Iridescent Rhinestones provide some bling.

Last Week’s Card & Cuppa – Abstract in In Color

For last week’s Card & Cuppa I designed an abstract project using the new 2023-2025 In Colors.

A combination of stamps from the Oceanfront Stamp Set, Quiet Meadow Stamp Set and the Inked & Tiled Stamp Set provided the background stamping in the various new colours. The whole project is sits on a Thick Very Vanilla base card.

Next, a length of In Color Textured Ribbon was added, followed by a length of the coordinating Jute Trim. This was split and tied in a knot before being placed on top of the ribbon. Splitting the Jute Trim creates the wavy effect.

Shapes cut from the Stylish Shapes Dies and the Tailor Made Tags Dies were arranged on top of the background, with the large square left until last.

The sentiment is from the Artistically Inked Stamp Set and cut in two before being stuck to the Copper Clay Square. This whole piece is given more depth using Dimensionals.

In Color Dots, also in the same Moody Mauve as the layer, ribbon and twine add the finishing touch.

This is a great design for anyone and particularly handy for those teen or masculine projects. It can be changed to use any colours and shapes too.

Last Week’s Card & Cuppa – Artistically Inked

Last week was an exciting week. I held my first in-person Card & Cuppa class in over 2.5 years. It was also at a new venue too.

As I have been teaching classes over ZOOM, the attendees haven’t had access to the stamps, dies, punches etc they normally would. There are a lot of fun products for them to get their hands on.

What better place to start for our first class back than at ‘A’, with the Artistically Inked Stamp Set and matching Artistic Dies.

I’ve used Sweet Sorbet, So Saffron and Pear Pizzazz, along with Basic White for this project.

The background is made from various generations of stamping.

Next, the flowers and leaves are stamped onto a separate piece, with the smaller flowers in second generation stamping for a slightly lighter tone.

These are all cut out using the coordinating Artistic Dies.

All of the pieces are layered together, with the large flower and leaves stuck with Dimensionals to raise them.

A sentiment is then stamped and cut out, before being added across the centre of the flower.

Finally, some Iridescent Rhinestones are added for a touch of sparkle.

It’s lovely to be back at face-to-face classes. This is the first of my classes to return to an in-person format, others will hopefully follow next year when I have sourced a suitable venue.

Uniquely Artistic

Due to my annual two week holiday, there wasn’t a class on Monday, so I’m sharing this Uniquely Artistic project instead.

This DistINKtive Stamp Set in the Annual Catalogue is one I’ve had for a while, but hadn’t inked up.

It is one of those less is more type projects, where just two colours, along with Basic White is all that is needed.

The two colours for the first inking were the In Colors of Evening Evergreen and Polished Pink.

A blender pen is used to draw some colour from the leaves and flowers.

The three flowers are fussy cut and sat on top of a coordinating In Color Ribbon swoosh using Dimensionals.

My sentiment is from another artistic-sounding product, the Artistically Inked Stamp Set.

This sits across the centre of the flowers.

A few In Color Opal Round are then dotted across the project.

50th Birthday in Orange & Gold

A friend celebrated their 50th Birthday last week.

For their card, I chose a combination of Pale Papaya and Mango Melody, with Basic White and Gold accents.

I chose to make a larger square card. Mine is 14cm x 14cm.

Using the FREE SAB Silver & Gold 6×6 DSP for the background, I made a colour flare from the centre using a Blending Brush and ink. This gives a touch of colour to the background without losing the white.

On top of this sit cut out flowers and leaves in Basic White Cardstock and Gold Foil Sheets. The shapes are cut from the Artistic Dies and Flowers of Home Dies.

These were layered, along with a swoosh of coordinating In Color Ribbon.

The Alphabest Stamp set provides the ’50’, on a cut out from the All That Dies. This is then given an orange edge using the Blending Brush.

Tiny Flowers are stamped using the Artistically Inked Stamp Set and cut out using the matching Artistic Dies.

These are given a touch of sparkle using Wink of Stella and Iridescent Rhinestone centres.

I also made an envelope for the card, but didn’t take a picture of that!

Last Week’s Card & (Your) Cuppa – Monochrome Perfectly Penciled DSP

Last week’s Card & (Your) Cuppa project just used black and white for this monochrome design.

It uses the Perfectly Penciled DSP for the background piece.

A sentiment from the Artistically Inked Stamp Set is then stamped on a separate piece of cardstock to sit across the project.

Basic Black and Basic White strips are then cut and stuck behind the sentiment. The edges are cut at an angle and they are set are different lengths.

Once the sentiment piece is stuck down, with any overhang cut away, two lengths of Basic Black Baker’s Twine then sit at the top and bottom.

Finally, some Classic Matte Dots are added.

This design is a great scrap buster and perfect for masculine projects.

Introduction to In Color Class – Parakeet Party

The second project from this year’s Introduction to In Color Class was for Parakeet Party.

I just had to use the new Twigs & Springs Embossing Folder & Die from the Annual Catalogue for this card.

Parakeet Party combines with Garden Green and Pumpkin Pie, with a sentiment on Basic White.

An embossed background sets the scene. Then, more embossed pieces, cut out with dies are then placed around the centre.

A swoosh of the coordinating Metallic Woven Ribbon is then added.

The Artistically Inked Stamp Set provides the sentiment, cut out using the Stylish Shapes Dies.

Parakeet Party leaves are stuck both behind and on top of the sentiment before being raised up on Dimensionals in the centre of the project.

A few small Matte Decorative Dots, one of the items from the attendee class kit, provides a finishing touch.

Saying Hello – In Color 2022-2024: Sweet Sorbet

The penultimate In Color from the new Annual Catalogue, in alphabetical order is Sweet Sorbet.

I’ve once again used the same monochrome design as I did for the Orchid Oasis, Parakeet Party and Starry Sky projects.

In Color 6×6 DSP cut on the diagonal provides the background, with a length of coordinating Metallic Woven Ribbon to cover the join.

The Artistically Inked Stamp Set and Artistic Dies create the flowers. These sit on a shape cut using the new Stylish Shapes Dies. They remind me of the red roses that flower outside my front door at this time of year.

To finish, three In Color Matte Decorative Dots are scattered across the project.

As with the other versions, this card is sentiment free and suitable for any occasion.

Team Anniversary Congratulations

One of my team members recently celebrated a Stampin’ Up! Anniversary, so naturally I sent them a card!

They are a fan of purple, birds and sparkle, so I think this card covers most of that.

My colour combination is a favourite of Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape and Basic White.

Using the fabulous Artistically Inked Stamp Set, the background is created.

A coordinating swoosh of Gorgeous Grape Sheer Ribbon is then added. If you’re not sure how to create one of these swooshes, check out my Top Tips, Tricks and Techniques video that demonstrates the process.

Sprigs of leaves cut using the Bough Punch and layering circles from the Beautiful Shapes Dies then sit on top.

Iconic Dies provide the bird, that is given a coat of Wink of Stella to add some sparkle.

A sentiment from the Hand-Penned Petals Stamp Set sits to the side.

Finally, some Iridescent Rhinestones from the Mini Catalogue add a touch more sparkle.
