Sometimes, there are products you need to dust off every now and then.

So, today, I’m revisiting the Beauty of the Earth Suite Collection, with it’s Stamp Set and Dies Bundle, Embossing Folder and DSP.

I use individual pieces from the Collection, but haven’t used them together in a while.

Using Misty Moonlight from the Beauty of the Earth DSP as my main colour, this is paired with Basic White.

Across the bottom, a piece of the DSP is attached, with a strip of coordinating cardstock embossed using the Bark 3D Embossing Folder.

The sentiment is from the Beauty of Friendship Stamp Set, cut out with the Beautiful Trees Dies.

A length of Linen Thread, not in the collection, is looped behind the sentiment.

This sentiment then sits over the top raised up on Dimensionals.

I love how quick and easy this card was to make, and it was fun playing with some items I hadn’t used in a while.

Countdown to Christmas 2021 #4

Countdown to Christmas 2021 project 4 is the first bonus project from October’s SSOTM and it’s obviously another penguin card.

I’ve used Balmy Blue and Basic White, with Black and Pumpkin Pie for the penguins.

The Bark 3D Embossing Folder makes a great water effect for the background.

Then, a piece of ice is created using the Layering Diorama Dies. My sentiment from the Penguin Place Stamp Set is stamped onto it. You can use any sentiment you like.

Next, it’s time to stamp and punch out the penguins using the Penguin Place Stamp Set and Penguin Builder Punch from the Mini Catalogue. This is where you can add hats, scarves, bow-ties, bows too.

They are all placed to look like they are peering out from behind the ice. To make them look like they are sticking up from the water a little, I’ve only stuck the bottom part of the penguins down, leaving their heads unglued.

Finally, some of the clear circle gems from the class kit are added for a touch of sparkle.

If you’re wondering why the toadstools have made an appearance in this project, it’s because it was National Mushroom Appreciation Day earlier this week!

They, and the leaf are from the Iconic Dies in the Annual Catalogue.

My colour combination is Pear Pizzazz, Real Read and Crumb Cake, with Basic White.

The tops of the toadstools are coloured with a Sponge Dauber, and the leaf is given extra depth too.

Using the Gorgeous Leaves Stamp Set to create the background splats, the edges are then softened with some more green, again using a Sponge Dauber.

A piece of Crumb Cake is cut using the Layering Circles Dies and then embossed with the Bark Embossing Folder to give some extra texture.

These all sit over several lengths of coordinating Baker’s Twine from the Essentials Pack.

Last Week’s Card & (Your) Cuppa – Autumnal Gorgeous Leaves

It was my first week back at Card & (Your) Cuppa after my two week holiday.

I had been asked for something autumnal, preferrably leaves, so this is the project I designed.

I’ve taken my inspiration from Page 71 of the Annual Catalogue.

The colours are Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla, with autumnal colours Shaded Spruce, Cherry Cobbler and Pumpkin Pie.

Using the Bark 3D Embossing Folder it creates the background.

Leaves are die-cut from the Intricate Leaves Dies in the various shades and stuck to the squares. Any overhang is then cut away.

A sentiment from the Welcoming Woods Stamp Set provides the content for the fourth square.

Using the Crumb Cake Baker’s Twine from the Essentials Pack, this is wrapped across the embossed piece in three places.

Finally, each of the squares is raised up on Dimensionals.

Last week’s Card & (Your) Cuppa project uses the FREE SAB Sheep Dies.

It’s my version of the project on Page 11 of the SAB Brochure.

The colours are Balmy Blue, Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight and Basic White.

A Balmy Blue background is created using a Blending Brush.

Tasteful Labels provide the shapes for the sentiment from the Artistically Inked Stamp Set to sit on. I’ve extended the banner slightly on either side by cutting it in half.

Using the Bark 3D Embossing Folder, I added some texture to the front clouds.

These sit around the sun. I found that holding them together using Glue Dots allowed me to slot the sun in easier.

The clouds and sun are then raised up using Dimensionals.

Finally, some Gold Metallic Pearls are dotted around.

A Welcome to Welcoming Woods

Today I’m sharing a project made using the Welcoming Woods Stamp Set from the new July-December Mini Catalogue.

It’s a great set for all seasons. I’ve chosen a more autumnal colour combination for mine.

All of the stamping is in Soft Suede. I’ve then used Blending Brushes to create a sky using Soft Suede, Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry and Misty Moonlight.

You could use summery colours, or blue tones for a more festive feel.

The background piece is embossed using the Bark 3D Embossing Folder before the panel is cut down and attached using Dimensionals.

Finally, a sentiment from the Stamp Set is added to the bottom corner.

Last Week’s Card & (Your) Cuppa – Sea Life Dies

Recently I made this project, and mentioned that something similar may appear at a future Card & (Your) Cuppa…

…and here it is!

My water is a combination of Balmy Blue, Pool Party and Coastal Cabana.

The top two water layers are cut using the Layering Diorama Dies. A water ripple effect is made using the Bark 3D Embossing Folder on the very top layer.

Between the base card and middle layer, the Night of Navy anchor, cut from the Smooth Sailing Dies, has a piece of Baker’s Twine from the Essentials Pack added to it. There is also a piece of Coral, or seaweed, in Calypso Coral. This is cut into several pieces and dotted around.

More Coral/Seaweed in Old Olive is popped between the middle and top layer.

To give the impression of depth, the top layer is attached with Dimensionals.

Finally, the Pumpkin Pie and Bumblebee fish are added across the various levels.

With this project, the pieces cut out from the layers aren’t going to waste. In fact, my Card & (Your) Cuppa attendees might notice them fairly soon!

Introduction to In Color Class – Pale Papaya

My second project from this week’s Introduction to In Color Class is for Pale Papaya.

The colour combines with Old Olive, Calypso Coral, Cinnamon Cider and Very Vanilla. Basic Gray is used for the sentiment.

This project uses the Iconic Dies for the bird and leaf. I’m really enjoying using these dies from the Annual Catalogue. They were a feature at a recent Card & (Your) Cuppa Class.

The Layering Diorama Dies and the Bark 3D Embossing Folder provide the piece to resemble a tree.

As the bird die-cut shape is an outline, the infill piece is created by drawing round it and then cutting it out by hand. These two pieces are carefully glued together to finish the bird.

All of the pieces are layered, along with a sentiment from the Ornate Thanks Stamp Set. I wanted the project to have a ‘little bird told me’ vibe.

A swoosh of coordinating ribbon sits behind the die cut pieces.

Prince & Princess Host Stamp Set

You knew it would only be a matter of time before a project using the Prince & Princess Host Stamp Set made an appearance!

I resisted long enough and I just had to play.

After stamping the foliage and frog in Basic Gray, a combination of Stampin’ Blends was used to colour them. A couple of lily pads were also stamped onto Pear Pizzazz. These were then all cut out by hand.

Next, I made a pond for my frog. This is a Pool Party piece of cardstock run through the Bark 3D Embossing Folder to create water ripples.

For my large lily pad, I cut a shape using the Layering Diorama Dies. I then cut a ‘v’ out of it to give it a similar lily pad feel to the other images.

Finally, everything was layered together, with the frog raised up on Dimensionals in the middle.

Last Week’s Card & (Your) Cuppa – Beauty of the Earth Suite Collection

The Beauty of the Earth Suite Collection made an appearance for last week’s Card & (Your) Cuppa project.

This collection, on pages 10-11 in the Annual Catalogue contains the Beauty of Friendship Stamp Set and Beautiful Trees Dies Bundle, Bark 3D Embossing Folder and the pretty Beauty of the Earth DSP.

I recently made this project using the Stamp Set and Dies Bundle. Today’s project uses all the items from the Suite Collection.

When I saw the 12×12 DSP, I knew it was just perfect for card fronts.

Using colours from the paper, I chose a combination of Cinnamon Cider and Merry Merlot for this design.

A bow is tied around the tree before the sentiment and tree are attached to the embossed piece.

Now these are together as one piece, they are then raised with Dimensionals over the three lengths of Linen Thread .
