Last Week’s Card & Cuppa – Of Art & Texture Stamp Set

For last week’s Card & Cuppa project I used an Online Exclusives Stamp Set called Of Art & Texture.

It is based on a project I made many years ago, just using new products.

My main colours are Balmy Blue, Night of Navy and Basic White.

The background uses one of the images from the Of Art & Texture stamped multiple times. This is a Stamp Set from the Online Exclusives Range.

Tiny flowers from the Heartfelt Hexagon Stamp Set are then stamped across the background. They are then coloured using Tahitian Tide and Azure Afternoon Stampin’ Blends. Wink of Stella gives a touch of sparkle to the centre of each flower.

A sentiment from the Beautiful Balloons Stamp Set is stamped and layered using Circle Punches, also from the Online Exclusives.

This sits on a length of coordinating Night of Navy Bordered Ribbon.

Finally, a few Rhinestones complete the project.

Last Week’s Card & Cuppa – Bright & Beautiful Suite Collection

Last week’s Card & Cuppa project used items from the Bright & Beautiful Suite Collection.

This discounted Suite Collection contains the Bright & Beautiful Stamp Set and Dies Bundle, plus the Bright & Beautiful 6×6 DSP Stack. These items are used in my design. There is also some Specialty DSP in the Suite too that I haven’t used here.

The colours in the DSP stack helped me to choose my colours for the layer and stamping. I chose Blueberry Bushel and Lemon Lime Twist, along with Basic White.

This project is one of my angles designs and they are great for men, teenagers and anyone who is normally difficult to make for. They are also really quick and simple to make too.

To begin, a background is stamped in Lemon Lime Twist using one of the images from the Beautiful Balloons Stamp Set.

Three strips of DSP are then cut at the same width, but two different lengths. They are stuck to the stamped background at various angles.

Offcuts from the DSP strips are used to cut out the stars and balloon shapes.

A sentiment, also from the Stamp Set is stamped and cut out using the 1 3/4″ Circle Punch from the Online Exclusives.

Another item from the Online Exclusives is the length of ribbon from the Gold & Silver Trim Combo Pack, which is made into a swoosh.

The sentiment sits on top with Dimensionals with the die cut shapes positioned and stuck down.

Finally, some coordinating Neutrals Adhesive-Backed Sequins in silver are added. These sequins have more of a matte finish, so provide less of a ‘blingy’ effect.

Last Week’s Card & Cuppa for Children – Beautiful Balloons Bundle

Last week was my final Card & Cuppa for Children Class of the summer. We didn’t have a regular Card & Cuppa due to the Bank Holiday.

I chose to use the new Beautiful Balloons Bundle with a Stamp Set and Dies.

For this project, I wanted to make a card suitable for anyone so chose the bright and cheery Parakeet Party, Lemon Lolly and Lost Lagoon for my colour combination.

To begin, the banners were stamped across the top in a combination of first and second generation stamping in Lost Lagoon.

Next, the balloons were stamped, again in a combination of first and second generation. Then the strings were added.

For the main balloon, this was stamped onto a separate sheet, with the sentiment added before being cut out using the dies.

A looped string made from coordinating In Color Baker’s Twine was then stuck to the back of the balloon. To keep the loop in place, it is also stuck to the background piece.

Finally, some sequins from the Neutral Adhesive-Backed Sequins pack were added for a touch of Birthday sparkle.
