Last Week’s Card & Cuppa – A Trio of In Colors

Last week’s Card & Cuppa project used a trio of In Colors to create this pretty Birthday card.

I chose Petunia Pop, Pretty in Pink and Shy Shamrock from the 2024-2026 In Color Collection. These were combined with Basic White.

To begin, a sentiment from the Simply Said Stamp Set was added in Petunia Pop.

Next, a line was masked using a strip of cardstock. ‘Splats’ from the Elements of Text Stamp Set were then stamped in Pretty in Pink on the bottom part of the background. This Stamp Set is in the Online Exclusives range.

The join was concealed with a length of Silver Trim from the Gold & Silver Trim Combo Pack.

A circle was cut using a Circle Punch, also from the Online Exclusives range. This had three stems from the Bee My Valentine Stamp Set added in Shy Shamrock.

Using a Blending Brush, the edge of the punched circles was coloured, alson with strips of cardstock.

Heart shaped petals were cut out from the strips using the Bee Builder Punch, 5 hearts for each flower.

These were assembled using 1 heart for the base and sticking the other 4 petals onto it.

The flowers were then stuck to the stems using Glue Dots.

Tear and Tape was used to attached the circle of flowers to the project.

Finally, a Rhinestone was added to the centre of each flower.

Last Week’s Card & Cuppa for Children – Bee My Valentine Stamp Set & Bee Builder Punch

The second of my classes last week was my Card & Cuppa for Children class.

We used the Bee My Valentine Stamp Set and matching Bee Builder Punch from the Annual Catalogue.

This was the same project the adult class made the day before, with just a few small tweaks to the design.

Once again, the colour combination is Crushed Curry, Early Espresso and Basic White for this Birthday card.

As for the adult class, the honeycomb image is stamped multiple times around the edge. Then, these are coloured using Watercolor Pencils, followed by a Blender Pen.

Next, the stripey body image is stamped directly onto Crushed Curry Cardstock, instead of the two-step stamping onto Basic White the adult project used. Also, for this class, we only stamped the wings.

Both the body and wings were cut out using the Bee Builder Punch.

A sentiment from the Labeled with Love Stamp Set is stamped and layered onto a circle. Both circles were cut out using the Circle Punches from the Online Exclusives range.

When they had decided which way round they wanted their bees to face, the features were then added.

Finally, all of the pieces are added to the honeycomb with the bees raised up on Dimensionals around the sentiment.

Last week’s Card & Cuppa used the Bee My Valentine Stamp Set and coordinating Bee Builder Punch.

This stamp set and punch carried over to the new Annual Catalogue. We’ve used these products at class before, but not for creating bees.

The colour combination of Crushed Curry, Early Espresso and Basic White creates a bright and fun Birthday card.

First, the honeycomb image was stamped multiple times around the edge. Then, these are coloured using Watercolor Pencils, followed by a Blender Pen.

Next, the bodies of the bees, wings and antennae were stamped and then cut out using the Bee Builder Punch, before being assembled.

A sentiment from the Labeled with Love Stamp Set is stamped and layered onto a circle. Both circles were cut out using the Circle Punches from the Online Exclusives range.

Finally, all of the pieces are added to the honeycomb with the bees raised up on Dimensionals around the sentiment.

As I also held a Card & Cuppa for Children Class last week, they made a version of this project that I’ll share over the coming days.

Last Week’s Card & Cuppa – Bee My Valentine Stamp Set & Punch

Last week’s Card & Cuppa project took inspiration from the outgoing January-April Mini Catalogue.

It uses the Bee My Valentine Stamp Set and coordinating Bee Builder Punch. These items are only available as a discounted Bundle until the end of April.

From the name of the Stamp Set, you may think that it is for February and love, but take a look at how it is used here.

Be sure to check out the Last Chance list to see all of the items that are retiring. These items are only available until the end of April, while stocks last.

My colour combination was taken from the Shiny Sequins in the Online Exclusives range – Melon Mambo, Lemon Lolly, Lemon Lime Twist and Pumpkin Pie.

Using another product from the Online Exclusives, the Basic Embossing Folders, the Lemon Lolly piece was given some texture.

Next, five shapes were cut using the Punch. Four of these were then stamped using the flower and leaf images from the Stamp Set. The final shape was stamped with a sentiment from the Layering Leaves Stamp Set.

A touch of Wink of Stella was added to the flowers for a bit of sparkle.

Two of the shapes were then stuck directly onto the background, with the other three raised up on Dimensionals.

Finally, some coordinating Melon Mambo Shiny Sequins were added for another touch of bling.
