Birthday card using Butterfly Basics

Another of my regular Card & Cuppa attendees celebrated their Birthday earlier this week.  This is the card I made them. The stunning image from the Butterfly Basics Stamp Set was my starting point for this card.  The recipient is a fan of both Crumb Cake and Sweet Sugarplum, so my colour choice reflects this.

Using Basic Gray Archival Ink to stamp the image, I coloured it using Calypso Coral and Old Olive Watercolor Pencils.  I then used a Blender Pen to soften and darken various areas of the flowers and leaves.

Last Week’s Card & Cuppa – Swirly Bird

At last week’s Card & Cuppa we once again used the very versatile Swirly Bird stamp set. This time, we used the boat images and created this project.
