Last Week’s Card & (Your) Cuppa – Turtle Punch

Last week’s Card & (Your) Cuppa Class was all about these cute critters.

Using the Turtle Punch from the Annual Catalogue, the attendees received them in Pool Party, Misty Moonlight and Pacific Punch. They also had a strip of the Pattern Party Host DSP.

By cutting the shells off and sticking them onto different colour bodies, it provided lots of different options.

I also cut a little triangle party hat for the central turtle too.

I added a strip of the Pattern Party Host DSP to the right hand side with a zig-zag of Striped Grosgrain Ribbon on top.

My sentiment is from the Celebrate with Sunflowers Stamp Set and it sits on top using Mini Dimensionals.

Finally, a mouth is drawn using a Stampin’ Write Marker, with Matte Black Dots for the eyes.

This is the final project from July’s Stamp Set of the Month (SSOTM) Class.

As with the other projects, it uses the Celebrate with Flowers Stamp Set.

Pale Papaya, Highland Heather and Mint Macaron is once again the colour combination.

For this design, I’ve stamped a border around the edge using the various leaf and flower images from the set.

Then, one of the flower designs is stamped onto separate sheet multiple times and fussy cut.

These flowers are turned and create the butterflies. A little bit of Wink of Stella is then used on these new wings.

Using several strands of the Pale Papaya & White Woven Ribbon, these are twisted and popped across the project.

A single strand is used to wrap around the butterflies to create the body and antennae.

Using a sentiment from the Art Gallery Stamp Set, the ‘Best Wishes’ is then added.

The butterflies are then raised up on Dimensionals, with one sitting at the edge of the sentiment.

Finally, clusters of Rhinestones are dotted around the project.

Celebrate with Flowers – Project 5

Along with the four projects taught at my recent Stamp Set of the Month Class, the attendees were given a link to a video showing them how to create two bonus cards using the items in their class kit.

This collage effect card is the first bonus project.

All of the stamping from the Celebrate with Flowers Stamp Set is done onto shapes cut using the Rectangular Postage Stamp Punch.

As before, it uses Pale Papaya, Mint Macaron and Highland Heather, along with Basic White for the colour combination.

The coloured shapes have tone-on-tone stamping. Most of the shapes have some Wink of Stella added for some sparkle.

The most difficult part of this project is deciding where each shape will go.

Once that is decided, each piece is stuck to a layer, with the overhang then cut off. Then, this layer is stuck straight to the card.

For the ribbon swoosh, a piece of the Pale Papaya & White Woven Ribbon is cut down the centre to create a raw edge, similar to the edge of the shapes.

The rest of this piece of ribbon is used in the final project from the class. Pop back tomorrow to see that design.

A sentiment from the Art Gallery Stamp Set, cut with the Floral Gallery Dies is then added on Dimensionals.

To finish the project, Rhinestones are dotted around the card.

Using one shape is a great way to create a design. I really love this collage effect.

Celebrate with Flowers – Project 4

The 4th project from this month’s Stamp Set of the Month Class is this fun Birthday Card.

As before, it uses the Celebrate with Flowers Stamp Set, plus Pale Papaya, Mint Macaron and Highland Heather, along with Basic White are used.

The vertical sentiment is stamped multiple times in various directions in the class colours.

It is also stamped once onto a separate piece of cardstock and mounted onto a layer of Mint Macaron.

Thin strips of cardstock are then stuck across the card at random angles.

These are offcuts from cutting the class kits, and I thought they should be used.

To finish the project, the sentiment is raised up on Dimensionals.

I love how using just one stamp can create a fun project like this one.

Celebrate with Flowers – Project 3

Today is the turn of the third project from this week’s Stamp Set of the Month Class.

As before, the Celebrate with Flowers Stamp Set, plus a colour combination of Pale Papaya, Mint Macaron and Highland Heather, along with Basic White are used.

Several stems are stamped to the left the project, to leave room for the vertical sentiment.

Three flower heads are stamped and fussy cut, along with one set of stamens. Each flower head is given some Wink of Stella sparkle.

Stamens are then stamped for the outer two stems.

Next, the sentiment is stamped and attached to a Pale Papaya layer.

A length of ribbon is placed across the bottom and finished with a flat (Dior) bow.

The two outer flower heads are added, with the central one raised up on Dimensionals.

Some Rhinestones add a finishing touch with a bit more sparkle.

Celebrate with Flowers – Project 2

This is the second project from this week’s Stamp Set of the Month Class.

For July, the Stamp Set of the Month (SSOTM) was the Celebrate with Flowers Stamp Set.

The colour combination for the class was Pale Papaya, Mint Macaron and Highland Heather, along with Basic White.

All of the attendees received the Stamp Set, Rhinesones and Pale Papaya & White Woven Ribbon in their kits, plus the cardstock and envelopes they needed too.

Four projects were taught at the class, with a link to a video providing instructions on how to make two additional projects sent afterwards.

For this project, images are stamped in the bottom corner with a couple of dragonflies stamped onto the background too.

Extra dragonflies and a single flower are then stamped and fussy cut by hand. The flower takes a while to fussy cut, hence why there is only one!

Each dragonfly is given some sparkly wings using Wink of Stella. The flower is given some sparkle too.

Using the punch layer technique that I shared in yesterday’s Top Tips, Tricks & Techniques video for the sentiment, this is raised above a length of the ribbon.

The flower and one of the dragonflies are then attached with Glue Dots to the sentiment.

With some small pieces of Dimensionals, the remaining dragonfly is stuck to the project.

Finally, some Rhinestones add some more sparkle.

For this week’s Top Tips, Tricks & Techniques video, I’m sharing how to create extra layers using your punches or dies.

The project is one from last night’s Stamp Set of the Month (SSOTM) Online Class where all of six of the designs used the Celebrate with Flowers Stamp Set.

It uses a combination of Pale Papaya and Mint Macaron for the flowers and leaves.

Flowers are stamped diagonally across the project, stamping off first.

Using a leaf image from the Stamp Set, several sets of these are fussy cut, along with some flowers too. Wink of Stella is dotted into the very centre of each of these flowers.

The Double Oval Punch uses the layering technique to provide a Pale Papaya background to the sentiment.

This central sentiment piece then has the various leaves and flowers attached.

A swoosh of the Pale Papaya & White Woven Ribbon provides another layer for the sentiment to sit on.

Raising the sentiment up on Dimensionals then creates extra depth.
