Guiding Card Making – Daisy

I recently showed you a project from a Guiding event.  Here is the second card from the morning.

Daisy Delight from Stampin' Up! with HIPPOFROG Designs

It is again a project from last year’s Charity Card Making Day.

This notecard is a very quick and easy project and is perfect for beginners.

A great project where a set of these notecards would make a lovely gift. With just a change of sentiment it can be suitable for a number of different occasions.

The star of the project is the stamped and punched daisy from the Delightful Daisy Suite. With just a few colours you can create this clean and simple design.

Some of the attendees had never stamped before and I really enjoyed showing them how to use stamps and ink to create their first project.

Garden in Bloom for Charity

On Monday I showed you one of the cards from my Charity Card Making Day.

Here is another.

Stampin' Up! Garden in Bloom

This quick and easy card uses the fabulous Garden in Bloom Stamp Set.

The stem and leaves are Wild Wasabi with the petals in Sweet Sugarplum.  An accent colour of Peekaboo Peach creates the centre of the flower.

Happy Birthday from the Thoughtful Banners set with a folded strip of co-ordinating Sweet Sugarplum Striped Ribbon is a finishing touch.

This is another card that could be easily replicated in a whole host of colours.  It would also look fabulous as a set of notecards to give as a gift too.

Which colours would you use?

A tiny card with a big meaning

As you know, I held a Charity Card Making Day earlier this month in aid of a local Milton Keynes Hospice.

One of the options for the Create, Take and Donate Day was to make 20 cards. This was using the Soft Sayings Kit and then donating 10 of the cards made.

I had a number of ladies who chose to do this, so I made a little card that greeted each of them to say thank you for supporting the day.  It’s a tiny card with a big meaning.

Stampin' Up! Flower Shop

The card is 3×3″ and fits in one of the new 3×3 Envelopes from the Autumn/Winter Catalogue.

I’ve used the Color Theory DSP Stack and co-ordinating cardstock and ink to create the flowers.  There is even room for a bit of bling too!

These cute cards are great to have on hand to send a quick note.  They are also great for making in batches and putting into the new Mini Pizza Boxes as a pretty gift.

Head to my class timetable for details of my next classes and to book your place.

I’m in print!

I’m very excited today as I’m in print!

A while back I was contacted by a crafting magazine (Crafts Beautiful) as they were running an article on Charity Card Making and had seen that I’ve got a Charity Card Making Day coming up.

So, I answered a set of questions, sent off a few pictures of projects and waited!

Well, sitting on the the doormat when I got home from Class this afternoon was a copy of the magazine containing the article.

Now please excuse my excitement, but I’ve never been in a craft magazine before.  Therefore, opening the article to see TWO of my projects featured, along with a few words, made me smile. Not only that, one of the pictures is the largest across the 2 page spread!

These are the two projects that were featured.  The top one has the biggest picture.
