Guiding Card Making – Butterflies

Last month I was invited to a Guiding event to teach the ladies how to make two cards. Here is one of the projects.

Jar of Love from Stampin' Up! with HIPPOFROG Designs

This is a project from last year’s Charity Card Making Day that I chose to revisit.

It uses leaves from various stamp sets in shades of green. The butterflies are from Garden in Bloom in Rose Red. Both Wild Wasabi (green) and Rose Red are retiring this year, along with the Garden in Bloom Stamp Set. Make sure you get yours while stocks last.

Some of the ladies had never stamped before, so it was lovely to share their excitement with their creations.

If you’d like me to come and teach a group then please get in touch.  I run private classes and workshops and can tailor projects to suit a variety of audiences.

Pop back soon to see the second card from the morning.

A tiny card with a big meaning

As you know, I held a Charity Card Making Day earlier this month in aid of a local Milton Keynes Hospice.

One of the options for the Create, Take and Donate Day was to make 20 cards. This was using the Soft Sayings Kit and then donating 10 of the cards made.

I had a number of ladies who chose to do this, so I made a little card that greeted each of them to say thank you for supporting the day.  It’s a tiny card with a big meaning.

Stampin' Up! Flower Shop

The card is 3×3″ and fits in one of the new 3×3 Envelopes from the Autumn/Winter Catalogue.

I’ve used the Color Theory DSP Stack and co-ordinating cardstock and ink to create the flowers.  There is even room for a bit of bling too!

These cute cards are great to have on hand to send a quick note.  They are also great for making in batches and putting into the new Mini Pizza Boxes as a pretty gift.

Head to my class timetable for details of my next classes and to book your place.
