Countdown to Christmas 2024 – Week 9

We’ve reached week 9 of my Countdown to Christmas 2024 series.

Today’s project is a one of four cards attendees are making later at my Christmas Card Making Day.

During the class, they will make 16 cards, 4 each of 4 designs.

For this quick and easy project, the tree and present from the Snowy Wonder Stamp Set are stamped multiple times in Granny Apple Green and Poppy Parade.

The stars are from the Christmas Everywhere Kit and stamped in Daffodil Delight.

Season’s Greetings, also from the Snowy Wonder Stamp Set is stamped in Basic Gray. It’s stamped onto a piece of Granny Apple Green cardstock cut out using the Modern Oval Punch.

Two lengths from the Gold and Silver Trim Combo Pack are added to the back of the sentiment. It is then raised up using Dimensionals.

For this class, the projects need to be quick and simple, but you could always add extra embellishments and more to step up your own version.

Countdown to Christmas 2024 – Week 8

This project for Week 8 of my Countdown to Christmas 2024 series was a hoot to make – sorry!

Can you believe we are already 2/3 of the way through this year’s series?

The background is a tree trunk from the Textured Timber Stamp Set, part of the Online Exclusives range, stamped in Pecan Pie.

This is then given a touch more colour and definition using a Stampin’ Blend in the same colour.

Next, a hole is punched out of the trunk using the 2″ Circle Punch from the Online Exclusives range. A piece of Early Espresso cardstock then sits behind.

Using the Christmas Friends Stamp Set and Dies from the Mini Catalogue, the owl is created and cut out.

It is coloured using a Blender Pen for the feathers and Stampin’ Blends in Daffodil Delight and Poppy Parade for the beak, feet and Santa hat. Wink of Stella is added to the white parts of the hat.

The Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blend is used to colour a piece of White Baker’s Twine from the Essentials Pack.

Ths is added to the project and a bunny ears bow added afterwards.

A sentiment from the Christmas Everywhere Kit is stamped onto a separate piece of cardstock.

The owl and the sentiment are then added with Dimensionals.

Countdown to Christmas 2024 – Week 2

This week’s Countdown to Christmas 2024 project is a very quick and simple design.

You may notice that the design is very similar to last week’s project.

At this time of year, we want to be creating pretty projects that don’t take long to make. This one definitely fits the bill!

By using the Season of Green & Gold Specialty DSP from the Online Exclusives range, a lot of the hard work is already done for you.

Cut a piece to size and layer that onto a piece of cardstock that coordinates with the DSP. In my case I used Garden Green.

Then, using the stamps from the Christmas Everywhere Kit, the ‘Merry Christmas’ sentiment was stamped in Garden Green. They were layered onto circles cut out with Circle Punches, also from the Online Exclusives range.

Don’t forget that kits are on special offer this month during the Kits Sale.

A length of gold from the Gold & Silver Trim Combo pack creates a swoosh for the sentiment to sit on.  I’ve raised the sentiment on Dimensionals over the Trim.

You can create 6 of these cards from one sheet of the 12″x12″ DSP. That’s 72 cards in total if you use all 12 sheets! Plus, the cards are quick and easy to make so you can create a lot in a short space of time.

The Gold & Silver Trim Combo pack is one of the items attendees will receive at my Christmas Card Making Day. Have you booked your place yet?

Countdown to Christmas 2023 – Week 12

Today is the final week of my Countdown to Christmas 2023 series.

This bright and cheery sentiment free card is a quick and easy project to make. The design can also be replicated using other stamps too.

For this project, I used Parakeet Party, Daffodil Delight and Basic White.

First, the trees from the Christmas Everywhere Kit were stamped onto the card. My top tip for this design is to stamp in the position you want the focal piece and then stamp the others around it.

An additional tree was stamped onto a separate piece and fussy cut, leaving a large enough piece at the top for the bling to stick to.

Each of the trees were coloured using the light Parakeet Party Stampin’ Blend Marker.

Stars were then stamped onto the background trees and dotted with Wink of Stella.

Next, lengths of coordinating Baker’s Twine were added to the left-hand side and a knot tied across the three strands.

The focal tree then had a Daffodil Delight Glossy Dot added to the top before being raised up on Mini Dimensionals in the correct position.

Finally, Iridescent Rhinestones were also coloured with the Stampin’ Blend Marker to coordinate with the project colours. They are dotted across the card for a touch of bling.

Last Week’s Card & Cuppa – Christmas Punch Art Robin

Last week’s Card & Cuppa project was this cute Christmas punch art robin on a tag.

It uses traditional Christmas colours of Real Red and Old Olive with Very Vanilla. Along with Pecan Pie and Daffodil Delight for the robin body and beak.

The background is embossed using the Merry Melody 3D Embossing Folder.

Next, the tag is created by cutting the edges off two rectangles using the Very Best Trio Punch.

Using the Christmas Classics Stamp Set (on the Last Chance Products List), the spruce branches are added to the Very Vanilla layer. The pieces are then layered together and a ribbon slot is created using the punch too.

A sentiment, using the stamp set from the Christmas Everywhere Kit sits on a layered oval cut using the Double Oval Punch.

For the robin, the various pieces are cut out using the Songbird Builder Punch and stuck together. The eye is drawn on using a Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker.

Both the robin and sentiment are stuck to the tag and a length of Real Red Ribbon from the Ribbon Combo Pack is looped through the ribbon slot.

Dimensionals are used to attach the tag.

Finally, some gold Festive Pearls add an extra touch of Christmas bling.

Countdown to Christmas 2023 – Week 11

Can you believe it’s the penultimate week of this year’s Countdown to Christmas series already.

This project is one you can make fairly quickly so great for anyone who may have forgotten to send a card to.

It uses Shaded Spruce, Sweet Sorbet and Crushed Curry, along with Basic White.

Holly leaves from the Christmas Classics Stamp Set are stamped at the top of the piece and coloured using a matching Shaded Spruce Stampin’ Blend. Berries are then added. Everything is given some festive sparkle using Wink of Stella.

I think you can tell that the Christmas Classics Stamp Set has been my favourite stamp set of the season so far. I’m sad it’s on the Last Chance list, get yours while you still can.

For the stars, I’ve used the stamp set from the Christmas Everywhere Kit. This is such a versatile little stamp set.

The sentiment is then stamped and punched out using the 2″ Circle Punch from the Online Exclusives. It’s layered onto a larger circle cut from the 2 3/8″ Circle Punch.

Next, a length of In Color Baker’s Twine in Sweet Sorbet is added to create the hanging bauble effect.

The bauble is then raised up on Dimensionals.

Finally a bunny ears bow sits at the top of the bauble.

Countdown to Christmas 2023 – Week 6

How is it already week 6 of my Countdown to Christmas 2023 series?

For this project, I used the new Christmas Everywhere Kit. The kit includes all the items you need to create 9 cards (3 each of 3 designs). It also includes a stamp set and mini ink pad in Pretty Peacock too.

As you can see, rather than using the cards in the kit, I have used the stamp set to create my own design.

This is a monochrome Christmas Card in Night of Navy and Basic White.

First, the star background is stamped. Next, a circle is cut using the Online Exclusives 2″ Circle Punch. Two trees are then stamped onto the circle, with another stamped onto a separate piece.

The trees are coloured using a light Night of Navy Stampin’ Blend marker with the separate one cut out and stuck in front.

This is then mounted onto a Night of Navy Circle, again cut out using a Circle Punch. The trees are then stuck to background.

What is great about this stamp set is the combination of words to allow you to create your own sentiment.

For my sentiment, I was able to pop it all onto my clear block and stamp the whole greeting at once.

I’ve raised this over the top of the trees using Dimensionals.

Finally, a few Rhinestones are dotted around for some festive sparkle.

I intend to make up the kit and use the cards as instructed, but as soon as I saw the stamp set, I knew that it would be great for my own designs too.
