Comfort & Hope and Butterflies

Now this card has arrived, I can share it with you.

Comfort & Hope and Butterflies. Project designed by Karen at HIPPOFROG Designs

It’s the Stamp Set Comfort & Hope and butterflies from the Butterfly Gala Stamp Set.

As the recipient loves butterflies, Pool Party and purple, these were my inspiration.

The colour combination is Pool Party, Highland Heather and Crumb Cake, with Very Vanilla.

First, I made a background using images from the Comfort & Hope Stamp Set.

Next, it was the butterflies. These were stamped and then punched out with the Butterfly Duet Punch. I find it easier to stamp the bodies once they have been cut out as it helps to line them up.

Each one was then given a light coating of Wink of Stella to add some sparkle. Comfort & Hope and Butterflies. Project designed by Karen at HIPPOFROG Designs

Finally, Pastel Pearls in co-ordinating Highland Heather add the finishing touch. I’m really loving these pearls from the January-June Mini Catalogue.

Comfort & Hope meets In Color

For this card, I’ve revisted this previous project from last year.

I decided to make another one, this time using a different stamp set and changing the colours. This time it’s Comfort & Hope meets In Color!

Cinnamon Cider, Just Jade and Rococo Rose, all In Colors are my new colour combination. They are just different shades to the colours I used previously.

Using the Comfort & Hope Stamp Set, the background is created with a mix of various generations of stamping.

The banner shapes on the background are again cut using the Triple Banner Punch.

A length of the Copper Ribbon from the Basket Weave & Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack from the August-December Mini Catalogue.

Finally, the sentiment is stamped, with the ends shaped using the new Banners Pick a Punch.

I really like this sentiment, as the card does just what it says.

Customer Thank You cards using Comfort & Hope

It’s my favourite time of the month again. It’s when I make and send Thank You cards to the fabulous customers who have supported my business during the previous month.

August’s customers will have hopefully now received these cards I made using the fabulous Comfort & Hope Stamp Set.

I was sad when some of the texture and grunge-type Stamp Sets retired, but this Comfort & Hope Stamp Set is helping to fill that gap for me.

I haven’t used it very often, but I expect it will get a few more outings.

My colour combination is Blushing Bride, Pool Party, So Saffron and Soft Sea Foam from the Subtles Collection.

Each image is stamped across the page to create an abstract pattern.

The loop of thread image has a sentiment from the Many Mates Stamp Set stamped in the centre. This is then cut out with the 2″ Circle Punch.

I love that there are even rhinestone images in this Stamp Set.

A swoosh of the Sheer Ribbon in co-ordinating Pool Party is stuck behind the sentiment.

Finally, some ‘real’ Rhinestones dot around the project to add some sparkle.

Sending you a Paper Hug

A card is a great way to say I’m sending you a paper hug. This one, quite literally says it!

It uses the Ornate Garden DSP and is really quick and easy to make.

By using the colours of the DSP, part of the hard work has been done for me. Bumblebee and Terracotta Tile are teamed with a Thick Whisper White base card.

A piece of the DSP is cut to size, then the bottom section is cut and turned around to show the other side.

A strip of In Color Ribbon is placed across the join. This then has a sentiment placed over the top of it.

The fabulous sentiment is from the Comfort & Hope Stamp Set, with the ends cut using the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch. A co-ordinating layer is added to the sentiment.

Finally, two In Color Enamel Dots are added to each side of the sentiment.

As this design is perfect for any occasion. You could easily make a batch of these in advance and then add a relevant sentiment when they are ready to send.
