Last Week’s Card & Cuppa – Darling Dinos

Due to the Bank Holiday, I decided both my Card & Cuppa and Card & Cuppa for Children sessions should make the same project.

This design uses the Darling Dinos Stamp Set from the Online Exclusives range.

My main colour combination is Highland Heather, Granny Apple Green and Basic Gray.

The background is stamped and then coloured using a Blending Brush.

Next, circles are punched using the new 1 7/8″ Circle Punch from the Annual Catalogue and the 1 3/4″ Circle Punch from the Online Exclusives range.

The dinosaurs are stamped onto the smaller circles using Basic Gray ink.

They are all then coloured using Watercolor Pencils and a Blender Pen, before being stuck onto their circle layer.

A sentiment, also from the Stamp Set is stamped and layered and is stuck to the project.

Finally, the dinosaurs are added, the two outer ones stuck directly, with the centre one raised up on Dimensionals.

Card & Cuppa for Children is now packed away until next year. But, my weekly Card & Cuppa sessions, plus other monthly classes, are still running.

Last Week’s Card & Cuppa – Introducing Timid Tiger

Last week’s Card & Cuppa session was all about introducing Timid Tiger.

Over recent weeks, I’ve been introducing my Card & Cuppa class attendees to each new In Color for 2025-2027. This is the fifth and final colour.

This is a fabulous orange. I have paired it here with Very Vanilla to tone it down a little bit for a more subtle look.

I’ve also used Peach Pie and Daffodil Delight in the colour combination too.

Using the Darling Dinos Stamp Set from the Online Exclusives range, the flowers and leaves are stamped in Timid Tiger across the project in a diagonal line. This is achieved by masking off the top section.

Next, the flowers are coloured with Stampin’ Blends in Peach Pie and Daffodil Delight. A touch of Wink of Stella is added to the centres of each flower.

Again, using a Stampin’ Blend in Timid Tiger, a length of Woven Ribbon is coloured and attached to cover the masking line. The ribbon is also from the Online Exclusives range.

Then, a layered sentiment from the Simply Said Stamp Set from the Annual Catalogue is added to the project.

Finally, three coordinating Flat Pearls are added.

For information, the picture below shows how Timid Tiger compares to other colours in the current Stampin’ Up! range.

July Card Making Class – Project 3

This is third card from this month’s Card Making class. All of July’s projects were around the ‘For the Children’ theme.

This bright and fun dino certainly fits the theme. It uses the Darling Dinos Stamp Set and coordinating Darling Dinos Dies from the Online Exclusives Range.

My colours were Lemon Lime Twist, Poppy Parade and Daffodil Delight, with additional Granny Apple Green for the stamping of the sentiment and dino.

First the sentiment from the stamp set was added to the background. Next, a section was masked and multiple hats were stamped across the bottom.

These were coloured with Stampin’ Blends in Poppy Parade and Daffodil Delight.

A strip of Lemon Lime Twist cardstock then covered the masking line.

An additional hat and the dino were then stamped onto a separate piece of cardstock. The hat was cut out using the Dies and the dino using a Circle Punch. Again, the punch is from the Online Exclusives range.

Using Stampin’ Blends, the hat and dino were coloured.

To finish, the hat was attached to the dino and the whole piece was raised up on Dimensionals.

Last Week’s Card & Cuppa – Easter Fun

At last week’s Card & Cuppa class we made this fun Easter card.

The cute critters are the stars of the show in spring colours.

Both the bunny and sentiment are from the Choose Happy Stamp Set. With the tiny chick from the Cutest Cows Stamp Set and the grass from the Darling Dinos Stamp Set.

Two out of three of these sets are on the Last Chance Products list. Make sure you grab them while you still can.

To create this project, the rabbit was stamped in Pecan Pie, the chick in Crushed Curry and the grass in Old Olive.

These made the background piece and the animals were coloured using Watercolor Pencils and a Blender Pen.

Once everything had been coloured and ‘set’ with a Blender Pen, the project was given a grassy hue using a Blending Brush and Lemon Lime Twist ink.

Lemon Lime Twist was again used for the sentiment that was layered onto punched Circles. These punches can be found in the Online Exclusives range.

A few chicks were stamped onto the sentiment piece too.

Lengths of Basic White Baker’s Twine from the Essentials Pack were stuck across the centre with the sentiment raised above this on Dimensionals.

April Card Making Class – Project 1

This cute Birthday card was one of four projects from my April Card Making Class.

The theme was ‘All creatures great and small’ and the attendees made four projects relating to the theme.

For this design, I used the Darling Dinos Stamp Set. This set is on the Last Chance Products list, so make sure you grab yours (there are matching dies too) while you can.

Tone-on-tone stamping in Granny Apple Green creates the background.

Four circles are then cut out using a Circle Punch from the Online Exclusives range.

The three dinosaurs are stamped in Basic Gray and coloured using Watercolor Pencils and a Blender Pen.

I chose three different colour ways for my colouring to give each dinosaur a different look. One is red, yellow and orange tones, another uses greens and blues and the final one is pink and purple.

Using both Basic Gray and Granny Apple Green, the sentiment is stamped in both colours.

Each circle is then stuck to the project with the sentiment circle raised up on Dimensionals.

Last Week’s Card & Cuppa – Layering Leaves Stamp Set

Last week’s Card & Cuppa project was inspired by a design in the Mini Catalogue.

I was asked for a ‘Thinking of You’ card. You can see the design I was inspired by HERE.

My version uses the Layering Leaves Stamp Set, Bough Punch, Darling Dinos Stamp Set and Labeled with Love Punch.

The colour combination is Soft Sea Foam, Crumb Cake, Garden Green, Granny Apple Green, Mossy Meadow, Calypso Coral and Basic White.

To begin the ‘splats’ are stamped tone-on-tone multiple times on the background.

Next, the various leaf images from the two stamp sets are stamped in Mossy Meadow onto the Soft Sea Foam piece.

These are coloured using Watercolor Pencils.

Several leaves are then cut out using the Bough Punch, while the sentiment is stamped and cut out using the Labeled with Love Punch.

The punched leaves are stuck to the back of the sentiment and the whole piece is then raised up on Dimensionals.

Finally, some copper sequins from the Neutrals Sequins Pack are added.

Last Week’s Card & Cuppa – Darling Dinos Bundle

At last week’s Card & Cuppa Class we used the fun Darling Dinos Bundle from the new Mini Catalogue.

When I saw this cute stamp set and dies bundle, it just had to fall into my shopping basket!

As I was asked for a new baby card, this design, inspired by the Mini Catalogue seemed like the perfect project.

It uses Lemon Lolly and Lemon Lime Twist as the main colours, with other stamping in Smoky Slate.

Firstly, using a Blending Brush, the grassy green area was created. This was then stamped over with grass tufts and rocks.

Meanwhile, a the dinosaur was stamped onto a separate piece and cut out using the dies. Egg pieces were also cut out using the dies.

The egg was then given some stamped speckles.

I don’t have anyone in my circle who has a baby on the way so my sentiment is a Birthday one. It’s from the stamp set and stamped onto Lemon Lolly cardstock.

Using Watercolor Pencils and a Blender Pen, the rocks, dinosaur and edge of the egg pieces were coloured in.

After attaching the sentiment to the card and cutting off any overhang, the egg pieces were glued to the dinosaur. The dinosaur needs a little bit of surgery to remove the tail to allow it to fit in the egg!

Dimensionals are then used to attach the dinosaur to the project.

Finally, coordinating adhesive-backed shiny sequins in Lemon Lime Twist, currently in the Last Chance Products category, are added.
