Last Week’s Card & (Your) Cuppa – A Cascade of Berry Blooms

Last week’s Card & (Your) Cuppa project was this pretty cascade of flowers.

The colour combination of Rich Razzleberry and Blackberry Bliss, with Basic White was a berry (sorry!) good mix.

Using one of the Heart & Home Doilies as a mask, and a Blending Brush, a pretty background came to life. The doilies are from the Mini Catalogue and come in a pack of 30, so there are plenty to use for different things.

This piece and the layer were stuck angles to the basecard.

Using the Flowers & Leaves Punch, each flower has two layers that are coloured using a Blending Brush, given a gentle scrunch and then stuck together.

Leaves from the Bough Punch, again from the Mini Catalogue, are added to to the piece and the flowers arranged in a cascade.

A sentiment from the Art Gallery Stamp Set sits on double layered ruffle. This is made from the Frayed Ribbon.

Finally, Iridescent Rhinestones are set into the centre of each flower to add a touch of sparkle.

I can’t wait to make this project in different colours. My thoughts are blues and also sepia tones for a vintage look.

Last Week’s Card & (Your) Cuppa – Heart & Home DSP

Last week’s Card & Cuppa project was a version of a recent project.

As my ZOOM classes don’t include stamped images, this version has shapes instead cut from the Medium Daisy Punch.

Misty Moonlight is the main colour on the piece of Heart & Home DSP, so I’ve used the colour for the rest of the project.

The strip of DSP has the join covered by a length of the White Frayed Ribbon and the coordinating Denim Ribbon.

Using a Sponge Dauber, the centres of the daisies are coloured and layered together. These are then scrunched to create texture and more colour is then added.

Next, they are stuck to a Doily, also from the Mini Catalogue.

This doily is raised up over the ribbon using Dimensionals and a sentiment from the Art Gallery Stamp Set is stuck to the edge.

Finally, some Classic Matte Dots are added to complete the project.

Blessings of Home in Misty Moonlight Monochrome

I recently shared a project I made after losing my crafting mojo.

Here is another card I made using the Blessings of Home Bundle and coordinating products from Heart & Home Suite Collection.

These items can be found in the Jan-Jun Mini Catalogue and a similar design layout as before.

This time, I’ve used a piece of the Heart & Home DSP to create the edge pattern.

Then, a piece of the Denim Ribbon sits across the join and one of the doilies in Misty Moonlight is added.

An stamped and die cut image from the Blessings of Home Bundle, coloured using a Blender Pen, is then added with Dimensionals.

A combination of words from sentiments in the Stamp Set are cut out to create the ‘Have a beautiful day’ wording.

Finally, some Classic Matte Dots in White are added to project.

Blessings of Home Bundle

You may have noticed that I haven’t posted many projects recently.

This is because over the past few weeks I lost my craft mojo. Rather than sitting in my craft room and pressurising myself, I did some other things instead.

Now, I’ve returned to my craft room, I’ve chosen to concentrate on one stamp set, with some coordinating dies to make a few projects. This stops me feeling overwhelmed and helps me to focus.

My chosen products are the Blessings of Home Bundle (Blessings of Home Stamp Set and Flowers of Home Dies), plus a few more coordinating items from the Heart & Home Suite. These are from the Jan-Jun Mini Catalogue.

Using the Cinnamon Cider Heart & Home Doilies as my colour inspiration I teamed it with Very Vanilla to make this this monochrome project.

Stamping the image multiple times down the side of the card creates focus in the background. These are coloured using a Blender Pen to soften the images.

Another flower is stamped and cut out using the dies. Again this is coloured with Blender Pens.

The pieces are then stuck together, with the sentiment attached with Dimensionals.

A multiple loop bow made using the Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack is then added. If you’re not sure how to make one of these bows, then take a look at my how to video.

Finally, Classic Matte Dots, also from the Suite are then dotted around for a finishing touch.

Mystery Pack – A Kaleidoscope of Butterflies

Last week’s Mystery Pack contained a kaleidoscope of butterflies.

As well as these items, the recipients could use a list of permitted items. These were Wink of Stella, a sentiment, one inkpad and a sponge dauber, plus scissors and adhesives.

Here is the project I made using the kit, plus Wink of Stella, a Sponge Dauber and Bermuda Bay ink.

I cut the doily to make it fit inside the layered circles. Watch my video on how I put it all together here on my YouTube Channel.

The rainbow circle of butterflies is made using one of each of nine of the different butterflies from the Brights Collection.

The centre butterfly is very sparkly as I coated it with Wink of Stella, before adding a bow using the Baker’s Twine.

Both the doilies and Baker’s Twine are on the retiring list, so make sure you get your hands on them before they go.

Mum’s Birthday Card

My Mum had a birthday ending in ‘0’ recently, so I obviously made her a special card for the occasion.

This card was the starting point for a 2019 Card & Cuppa project.

It uses a combination of Balmy Blue and Blueberry Bushel with Very Vanilla.

As Mum is also a keen crafter, it puts a lot of pressure on what I make, so a lot of products were strewn across my crafting desk!

The card has stamped images from the Artisan Textures Stamp Set, Well Said Stamp Set and Floral Essence Stamp Set.

I also used the Leaf Punch, Classic Label Punch and Perennial Flower Punch.

A Pearlized Doily was coloured on the white side using a Sponge Brayer and the flowers were softened using a Blender Pen to give a variegated effect.

Baker’s Twine was coloured with a Dark Balmy Blue Stampin’ Blend for the bow. There were also strips of Lace Trim and co-ordinating Blueberry Bushel Ribbon too.

Finally, I added Clear Faceted Gems to the centre of the flowers.

As this card was delivered by hand, I built up the layers and created extra depth using Dimensionals. Normally, anything that is posted is thin enough to use a regular stamp.

It’s not a great picture, but it gives an idea of the various layers I created.

I decided to create a larger square card, instead of my regular rectangle and made a co-ordinating envelope from DSP too.

Last Week’s Card & Cuppa – Perennial Birthday

Last week’s Card & Cuppa project was this pretty Birthday card, made using the Perennial Birthday Stamp Set.

I used a combination of Rococo Rose, Merry Merlot and Old Olive for this project, along with Very Vanilla.

We used the fabulous ‘Pearlized Doilies’ as a background. These are white on one side with a silver pearlised finish on the other.

The white side was coloured using a Sponge Brayer.

Painted Harvest Stamp Set is used for the leaves and then cut out using the co-ordinating Leaf Punch.

Two separate pieces of cardstock were also coloured using the Sponge Brayer. One of these with a more ombre effect to create different depths of colour.

On the ombre piece, the flowers were stamped and then punched out using a Circle Punch. The other brayered piece was used behind the sentiment.

With some corner rounding using the Detailed Trio Punch, everything was then stuck together. The sentiment, one leaf and the three flowers were stuck together as one piece and then attached using Dimensionals to create more depth.

There’s also a delicate touch of Wink of Stella in the centre of the flowers too.

Perennial Birthday Cling-Mount Stamp Set

Last Week’s Card & Cuppa – SAB Lots of Lavender

At last week’s Card & Cuppa class I reached for one of my favourite stamp sets from SAB – Lots of Lavender.

However, we didn’t use the lavender stamps, but the gorgeous roses instead.

For this soft and pretty card, I used Very Vanilla, Peekaboo Peach and Pear Pizzazz, with Smoky Slate for the outline and sentiment stamping.

The leaves create a pretty background with the lace doily effect mirrored with the Decorative Ribbon Border Punch. A length of Very Vanilla Baker’s Twine helps to pull the colours together.

There is also Wink of Stella on the flowers to give a bit of subtle sparkle.

Last Week’s Card & Cuppa – Delicate Details

At last week’s Card & Cuppa Class, I decided to make a floral card using the SAB Delicate Details Stamp Set.

I coordinated the images with Doilies folded around the edge of the card, then used Petite Petals and Bunch of Blossoms for the flowers and leaves.

Instead of stamping each lace strip separately, I mounted them onto two large clear blocks and stamped in different colours.

By stampin up to three flowers with one inking of Sweet Sugarplum we added depth and different colours. We then used two shades of green to create variegated leaves.

Finally, once everything had been stuck together, tiny pearls were added to the centre of each flower.
