Last Week’s Card & Cuppa – Elegant Pine Snowflakes DSP

Last week’s Card & Cuppa class project was this Christmas Card made with pretty DSP.

If you’ve been following me for a while, you’ll know I love a striped project, especially for Christmas Cards.

They are quick and easy to make and are great scrap busters. You can also cut a lot of strips from one pack of DSP.

The most difficult part of creating one of these is deciding the arrangment of the stripes!

I chose to lay my stripes diagonally, but you can place them vertically or horizontally if you’d prefer.

Each stripe is stuck to a hidden background piece of Basic White cardstock. You could use any cardstock or paper for this.

Next, all the overhanging pieces are cut away. You can keep some of these offcuts for future stripe projects. They make good corner pieces.

Then, a sentiment from the Ornamental Christmas Stamp Set is stamped tone-on-tone onto an Old Olive circle. Many seasonal products are now in the Last Chance Products section, so make sure you grab them while you can.

A length of the Black & White & Gold Baker’s Twine is then added to create a swoosh before the sentiment is attached using Dimensionals.
