A Floral Thank You

I recently redesigned my Craft Room, and mentioned in passing during one of my online classes that I thought it needed some plants.

This floral thank you is for one of my class attendees who kindly provided me with two plants that are now sitting in my room.

The plants were an Anthurium and an Aloe Vera.

As the Anthurium has red flowers, this is why my colour combination is Poppy Parade and Pear Pizzazz, with a Terracotta Tile pot.

The corners are rounded using the Detailed Trio Punch, before adding the sentiment and stamped flowers.

‘a little note’ is from the Butterfly Gala Stamp Set and sits in the bottom corner.

Although the images from the Field of Flowers Stamp Set aren’t exactly like the Anthurium flowers, using the two colours allowed me to give a general impression of them.

The pot is from the Basket of Blooms Set stamped tone-on-tone and cut out by hand.

This then has a Linen Thread bow wrapped around it. Then, using Dimensionals, the pot is made to stand out from the flowers.

Finally, a touch of Wink of Stella was added to the flower heads for a touch of sparkle.

Rich Razzleberry, Crumb Cake and Rococo Rose for a Friend

My friend is a fan of Rich Razzleberry and Crumb Cake, so I combined these with Rococo Rose for her Birthday Card.

With Rich Razzleberry, Crumb Cake and Rococo Rose as my main colours, they only needed Whisper White to join them.

Using leaf images from the Lovely You Stamp Set and Beautiful Autumn Stamp Sets, I stamped these to one side.

The Field of Flowers Stamp Set and Punch Bundle provide the small flowers. These are attached using Glue Dots, and Fine-Tip Glue for the tiny ones.

Many Mates and a Blender Pen provide the sentiment, cut out using the Tasteful Labels Dies.

Lovely You provides the larger flower images. I cut these out by hand and added a touch of Wink of Stella.

A length of Linen Thread wraps around the project behind the sentiment.

Finally, some Artistry Blooms Adhesive-Backed Sequins in co-ordinating Rich Razzleberry add some extra sparkle.

I really like this design and love it in Rich Razzleberry, Crumb Cake and Rococo Rose. It’s one I may try in other colour combinations too.

BYO Stamps – Field of Flowers Stamp Set with Butterflies

At last week’s BYO Stamps ZOOM session, I designed three cards all with a Soft Sea Foam Base Card and Mint Macaron Layer. Every card had a floral theme and the first one uses the Field of Flowers Stamp Set with Butterflies.

My stamping is in Mint Macaron and Seaside Spray. I don’t think I’ve used this combination before, but I really like the colours combined with Very Vanilla.

Only three stamps from the Fields of Flowers Stamp Set have been used to create this project. The stamps are used in different ways.

With first generation stamping for the largest stem and flower, this is the main focus. Can you see where I’ve stamped the stem twice to extend it? I’ve deliberately left this uncovered so you can see how I’ve created extra height.

As my stamping is slightly wonky, I will probably pop a sentiment over the top of it before sending it. There’s a saying in crafting ‘if you can’t see it, it isn’t there!’ The recipient will be none the wiser, unless they’ve read this of course!

2nd generation stamping is then used for the background flowers by using just the top part of the stamp to create the smaller stems, and the smaller flower head.

For the butterflies, the shapes are pre-punched using the Butterfly Duet Punch. They are then stamped with the flower heads using a combination of second generation and more. This creates a unique pretty pattern on the butterflies where they are all different.

Using Glue Dots, the smaller butterflies are added, with a Dimensional to stick the larger butterfly.

Three small Pearls are placed in a triangle to add a finishing touch.

This will look fabulous in brighter colours and with a sentiment of your choice.

Field of Flowers for my Customer Thank You Cards

I’m so grateful to everyone who has placed an order through my Online Store during this strange time.

As a thank you to these fabulous customers, they have been receiving these pretty cards. Some have also been receiving little gifts too for using the Hostess Code for their order. Customer recognition is one of my favourite parts of my job.

I used the new Field of Flowers Stamp Set from the new Annual Catalogue. My colour combination is Garden Green and Seaside Spray with Whisper White.

To make sure everything was aligned each time, my Stamparatus came in very handy. On one plate I had the flowers, and on another the dragonfly and stems, inking each one up in turn.

The Ornate Thanks Stamp Set provides the fabulous sentiment and this is on a shape cut from the amazing new Lovely Labels Pick a Punch. You know how much I love my punches, well this one is something very special. Pop back soon as I’ll be sharing a video on how to use it.

I think the shape really adds a classy finish to the project.
