Last Week’s Card & Cuppa – Hello Beautiful Stamp Set & Dies

For last week’s Card & Cuppa project I reached for the In Colors.

Once again, I have CASE’d myself by copying this previous project I haven’t made at class before.

The In Colors I have chosen are Tahitian Tide, Starry Sky and Parakeet Party. I think they create a fresh, bright and cheery look.

All of the stamping and die cutting is from the Hello Beautiful Stamp Set and the coordinating Beautiful Shapes Dies.

Each of the flower bodies are stamped across the project in Tahitian Tide, followed by Parakeet Party leaves.

Flower centres are then added using Starry Sky.

The sentiment is then stamped in Starry Sky and cut out, along with a Tahitian Tide hexagon.

Lengths of the In Color Baker’s Twine, also in Starry Sky wrap across the project with the sentiment pieces sitting above them on Dimensionals.

Finally, some In Color Matte Decorative Dots are coloured the same shade using a Starry Sky Stampin’ Blend and added to the project.

Last Week’s Card & Cuppa – SAB Dainty Flowers DSP

For last week’s Card & Cuppa project, I reached for the fabulous FREE SAB Dainty Flowers DSP.

This DSP is simply stunning and when I saw one of the projects in the SAB brochure, I just had to CASE it.

If you’re not sure what it means to CASE, then check out my video here which gives a quick overview.

Using Pear Pizzazz and a Blending Brush, the ombre ink effect was created.

Next, a sentiment from the Hello Beautiful Stamp Set is stamped in Starry Sky onto Balmy Blue Cardstock.

This, and the layer are both given a shaped edge using the new Happy Labels Pick a Punch from the January-April Mini Catalogue.

The bunny ears bow is made from a piece of coordinating In Color Baker’s Twine and the White Twine from the Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack.

If you are one of those who is a little ‘bow-phobic’ then I have a Top Tips, Tricks & Technique Video that takes you through how to tie bunny ears bows.

The sentiment then sits over the top of the bow using Dimensionals.

Finally, some Brushed Brass Butterflies are dotted across the project.

Hello Beautiful Thank You

This ‘thank you’ card uses the Hello Beautiful Stamp Set and the coordinating Beautiful Shapes Dies.

The colour combination is Parakeet Party, Pool Party and Night of Navy, along with Basic White. That’s quite a few parties!

Using the various images in the stamp set, I’ve built a floral cascade diagonally across the project.

Each of the flower centres is given a touch of Wink of Stella for some sparkle.

Three strands of Parakeet Party Baker’s Twine are then attached to the stamped piece.

Next, the sentiment, also from the stamp set is stamped. This, and the layer behind are cut out using the coordinating dies.

These sentiment pieces are then stuck together, before being added to the card using Dimensionals to raise them over the twine.

This design is really quick and simple to make, and is a great project if you need to make a card in a hurry.

It can easily be recreated in different colours and sentiments as needed.

Finishing Up Friday – Card & (Your) Cuppa Mash Up

This week’s Finishing Up Friday uses the Quiet Meadow Stamp Set and Dies.

I’ve called this project a Card & (Your) Cuppa mash up as it uses the leftover items from this project from last year, but I’ve also take inspiration from a project from this year too.

It uses Rich Razzleberry, Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla.

Using some Masking Paper, new in the Annual Catalogue, I created a strip. This is stamped using ‘splats’ from the Quiet Meadow Stamp Set and then given some colour using a Blending Brush and ink.

While using the Blending Brushes, I also added colour to the leaves and flower, cut from the coordinating Meadow Dies, from my ‘use me’ pile.

Once the Masking Paper is gently peeled away, the leaves are stuck to the strip. Some Wink of Stella sparkle is given to the flower before it is raised up on Dimensionals to give some depth.

Another pre-cut shape from my stash, from the All That Dies has a sentiment from the Hello Beautiful Stamp Set stamped onto it. The edge of the shape is given some colour using a Blending Brush.

This has a loop of Crumb Cake Baker’s Twine from the Essentials Combo Pack behind it. The whole sentiment piece is then also stuck to the project using Dimensionals.

Finally, some Champagne Rhinestones create the centre of the flower, with some additional ones dotted across the project.

Last Week’s Card & (Your) Cuppa – Blues & SAB DSP

Last week’s Card & (Your) Cuppa project was similar to this project design from last week.

I chose Tahitian Tide and Night of Navy for my colour combination as these coordinate with the silver dots from the SAB DSP.

This DSP is only available until the end of August as part of the Sale-a-Bration offering. Items are available on qualifying orders while stocks last.

By using a Blending Brush, a flare of colour radiates from the middle.

A sentiment from the Hello Beautiful Stamp Set is cut using the Label Me Lovely Punch. Again, given a subtle border using a Blending Brush.

A length of the Simply Elegant Trim in silver sits behind the sentiment to match the DSP.

I think this project would be great to give to those receiving their results around now.

It’s a quick and easy project, but also great fun to make. There are so many options with the Blending Brush, from a central flare, to a top to bottom ombre, and more.

Introduction to In Color Class – All Five Together

Today I’m sharing the final project from my annual Introduction to In Color Class, where it’s all five together.

It’s become tradition over the years that the project that uses all five colours together is a striped one. This year is no exception!

Of course, the colours used are the In Colors 2022-2024, along with Basic White. You can make a lot of these cards from one In Color A4 Cardstock pack.

Each colour is used to create the stripey background. One of the most difficult parts of this design is choosing which order to put the colours in.

In their class kits, the attendees received lengths of In Color Baker’s Twine, and these are wrapped around the project.

A sentiment from the Hello Beautiful Stamp Set is cut out using the new Lasting Label Punch from the Annual Catalogue. This is raised up on Dimensionals over the Baker’s Twine.

Finally, coordinating large and small embellishments from the In Color Matte Decorative Dots are added.

Last Week’s Card & (Your) Cuppa – Jubilee Themed

For last week’s Card & (Your) Cuppa project I was asked for something Jubilee themed.

I chose Poppy Parade, Basic White and Pacific Point for a red, white and blue colour scheme.

The class kit had strips of cardstock in the colours, along with shapes cut using the new All That Dies from the Annual Catalogue.

Using one of my favourite techniques, stripes, I set about making a background. I love how simple it is to make, yet very effective.

Once the background was ready, a length of Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon and some Baker’s Twine were added to the project.

The sentiment is from the Hello Beautiful Stamp Set and is cut out using the All That Dies.

Finally, some Classic Matte Dots in Basic White are added to provide some extra texture.

This design, in this Jubilee Themed colour scheme would make a great masculine card or one for teenagers. You can easily change the colour combination and sentiment to fit the occasion or recipient.

Abstract Beauty DSP Meets Stampin’ Blends

I’m loving the Abstract Beauty 4″x6″ DSP from the Mini Catalogue.

As one of the pieces has a black and white design, I reached for my Stampin’ Blends to add some colour.

Using Poppy Parade and So Saffron for the flowers, Granny Apple Green and Old Olive for the leaves, and only colouring a few of the pieces, it allows them to really pop.

I’m a fan of the work of Charles Rennie Mackintosh and I think this is a little nod to his style.

Three pieces of Simply Elegant Trim in Gold are added to coordinate with the Gold foil elements in the DSP.

Next, I took some hexagonal cut outs from the Expressions in Ink Ephemera Pack, also in Gold.

These had a sentiment from the Hello Beautiful Stamp Set stuck to them, with the edges cut to meet the hexagonal shape.

Due to the bulk of the Gold Trim, the hexagon and sentiment piece sits over it using Dimensionals.

Abstract Beauty Thank You Cards

For my recent customers I made these pretty thank you cards.

They use items from the Abstract Beauty Suite Collection in the Jan-June Mini Catalogue.

The Suite has lots of products and I’ve used the DSP, Stamp Set and Dies to create this project.

My starting point was the DSP and I chose to use coordinating Blushing Bride and Night of Navy from the sheets as my colours.

As the DSP does a lot of the work, each card only needs a sentiment and some ribbon to finish.

The Stamp Set and Die Bundle from the collection provide the sentiment and shapes. These are then layered together.

Using a swoosh of the Glittered Organdy Ribbon, carried over from the July-Dec Mini Catalogue, helps to coordinate with the gold foil pieces on the DSP.

I love how quick and simple these cards are. Great for making in batches.

Last Week’s Card & (Your) Cuppa – Hey Sports Fan Embellishments

For last week’s Card & (Your) Cuppa, I designed the project around the embellishmets in the Hey Sports Fan Suite Collection from the Jan-Jun Mini Catalogue.

The Resin Stars from the Suite Collection influenced my colour combination, along with the spools of Fan Baker’s Twine.

Using the Rectangular Postage Stamp Punch, each of the colours, Bumblebee, Evening Evergreen, Night of Navy, Poppy Parade and Basic White are cut out.

These are then arranged on the project.

Next, lengths of the Baker’s Twine are placed at angles, criss-crossing the project.

A sentiment, from the Hello Beautiful Stamp Set is added to the Basic White shape and attached using Dimensionals.

Finally, some of the Resin Stars complete the project.

This is a great project for teenagers, or those who are more difficult to make for. The design can also be replicated using different colours, shapes, sentiments, ribbons/twine and embellishments.
