Last week’s Card & Cuppa project uses a stamp set I’ve had for while, yet never inked up – In The Moment.

I wanted to create a project with some opportunites to do some colouring using Watercolor Pencils. As the attendees have recently been asking for some different more generic sentiments, this stamp set has just that.
With this class using colouring and everyone being different, I chose neutral Basic White and Gray Granite as accent colours.
It was also the perfect stamp set for me to create a card for a friend who has just completed her final exam (results pending). After studying for many years and taking an exam a quarter, I think it is time for her to finally relax!
First, the image for colouring is stamped in Basic Gray. and punched out using the largest Circle Punch 2 3/8″. It is then coloured using Watercolor Pencils and a Blender Pen.

Next, it was the turn of the sentiment, also stamped in Basic Gray. Depending on the sentiment used, it was either punched out using the 2″, or the 1 3/4″ Circle Punch from the Online Exclusives range.
Whichever punch hadn’t yet been used was used to cut out a Gray Granite shape for the background.
This circle was stuck onto the Basic White background. It was then run through the Stamp & Emboss Machine with a Basics 3D Embossing Folder to create the textured background. These Embossing Folders can be also be found in the Online Exclusives range.
Lengths of coordinating Baker’s Twine from the Essentials Pack were then added.
Finally, the remaining circles were added. With the image stuck with adhesive and the sentiment raised up on Dimensionals.
