Last Week’s Card & (Your) Cuppa – Blues & SAB DSP

Last week’s Card & (Your) Cuppa project was similar to this project design from last week.

I chose Tahitian Tide and Night of Navy for my colour combination as these coordinate with the silver dots from the SAB DSP.

This DSP is only available until the end of August as part of the Sale-a-Bration offering. Items are available on qualifying orders while stocks last.

By using a Blending Brush, a flare of colour radiates from the middle.

A sentiment from the Hello Beautiful Stamp Set is cut using the Label Me Lovely Punch. Again, given a subtle border using a Blending Brush.

A length of the Simply Elegant Trim in silver sits behind the sentiment to match the DSP.

I think this project would be great to give to those receiving their results around now.

It’s a quick and easy project, but also great fun to make. There are so many options with the Blending Brush, from a central flare, to a top to bottom ombre, and more.

Last Week’s Card & (Your) Cuppa – Petal Pink, Misty Moonlight and Some Sparkle

Last week’s Card & (Your) Cuppa project combined Petal Pink, Misty Moonlight and some sparkle to create this pretty card.

If you’re a regular visitor, you’ll know I’m not a fan of pink, and certainly not the paler pink shades. However, this colour combination works really well!

As I can’t send pre-stamped items out in my class kits due to Stampin’ Up! rules, my kits tend to contain shapes and embellishments.

This card is a version of this previous project, just without stamping.

On these projects without stamping, I like to use texture instead. This begins with the Metallic Mesh Ribbon as a background strip.

Using two Label Me Lovely Punch shapes, one is cut in half and stuck behind to create the look of a layer.

On this, a Whisper White punched circle shape is attached to help the large butterflies stand out.

Scrunching the butterflies adds more texture, along with the Baker’s Twine antennae from the Flowers for Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack.

The twine co-ordinates with the silver in the ribbon and the Misty Moonlight cardstock.

Wink of Stella on the smaller butterflies adds even more sparkle, before finally adding some Rhinestones to complete the project.

Last Week’s Card & (Your) Cuppa – Playing with New Punches

For last week’s Card & (Your) Cuppa project, I reached for some of my new punches from the Annual Catalogue.

This project uses a combination of Crumb Cake, Pool Party, Crushed Curry and Whisper White. As it uses a few items several times, the attendees were able to combine their pieces in lots of different ways.

The pretty background is from the Ornate Floral Embossing folder, it gives a lovely textured design. For items with texture, it’s best to use Tear & Tape to attach them, to avoid using pressure and crushing the pattern.

Using cardstock shaped at the top with the new Fancy Tag Topper Punch, I put my Pool Party piece in front. A length of the new Sheer Pool Party Ribbon is looped through both shapes. Pictures of this ribbon don’t do it justice, it’s a ribbon you need to see and feel to really appreciate.

On top of my tags, a shape from the Label Me Lovely Punch is added. I’ve put the straight edges of the shape against the straight edges of my tag.

The Lovely Labels Pick a Punch provides the two strips across the tags. One cut in half and popped behind the first tag, overhanging the edges as long as needed, with the second stuck on top.

Two Crushed Curry and one Whisper White flower are cut from the Small Bloom Punch. This is another fab new punch that carried over from this year’s SAB offering.

For the centre of the white flower, one of the Playing with Patterns Resin Dots is added.

Finally, the tags are lifted from the page using Dimensionals.

Mystery Pack – Pretty Petal Washi Tape

Last week’s Mystery Pack recipients received this bundle of items, including the retiring very pretty Petal Washi Tape. Along with these items, a sentiment could also be used to make a card.

I chose to use Merry Merlot, Mossy Meadow and Very Vanilla for my colour combination as they match the Washi Tape and Ribbon Combo Pack. I then added Crushed Curry.

Here is the project I made using the items from the pack.

For the ribbon, I used one strip across the project and then added the twine at the top and bottom. I also cut the Merry Merlot Label Me Lovely Punch shape in half and put it behind the Crushed Curry piece to create a layered look.

The sentiment is from the Timeless Tulips Stamp Set using Merry Merlot ink. I think it just finshes the card beautifully and makes it a pretty project.

Terracotta Tile Thank You

Today I’m sharing the Terracotta Tile thank you cards I sent to my most recent customers.

As you know, I’m a fan of monochrome-type cards and this one is no exception. Here I’ve combined Terracotta Tile and Very Vanilla.

The Varied Stamp Set and Vases Builder Punch are the stars of the show, with the fabulous Label Me Lovely Punch.

I’ve used the Label Me Lovely Punch shape twice, once for the flowers and again cut in half to create a layered effect.

A length of co-ordinating In Color Ribbon across the project, plus a spot of Wink of Stella on the flowers complete the look.

Terracotta Tile 1/2" (1.3 cm) Scalloped Linen Ribbon

Last Week’s Card & Cuppa – Tulip-tastic

For last week’s Card & Cuppa session, I designed this tulip-tastic project.

It was deliberately sentiment-free to allow it to be sent as a pick-me-up to someone who is self-isolating or social distancing .

I’ve used Lovely Lipstick and Grapefruit Grove for some brighter Spring colours. I’m going to miss these In Colors when they retire in a few months time. These are combined with Old Olive and Whisper White.

The background texture is created using the Painted Poppies Stamp Set, with the big tulip from the Timeless Tulips Bundle.

For the tiny tulip punched shapes, these are from the Vases Builder Punch. If you look closely, you’ll see that these small tulips have a coat of Wink of Stella on them to give them a shimmer.

A strip of Metallic-Edge Ribbon, a shape from the Label Me Lovely Punch and a punched Circle make a base for the large tulip to sit on.

This week’s Card & Cuppa session was the final face-to-face class for the time being. However, I’ve put some new ‘Social Isolation Classes‘ together where kits will be posted out to you. We’ll then craft together using a video link.
