Last Week’s Card & Cuppa – Purple Butterflies

Last week’s Card & Cuppa project is this trio of purple butterflies.

I had been asked for a purple project, so my colour combination is Fresh Freesia and Gorgeous Grape, with Lost Lagoon for the accent colour.

This project uses a couple of Two-Step Stampin’ Stamp Sets, All Aflutter and Greenery Lane.

Make sure you check out the Last Chance Products list to get your hands on the Greenery Lane Stamp Set while stocks last.

To begin, the large leaves from the Greenery Lane Stamp Set were stamped in Lost Lagoon to create a background. The smaller leaves were then placed around these, with the infill in second generation stamping.

Then, the tiny flower was added five times in Fresh Freesia.

Next, the butterflies from the All Aflutter Stamp Set were stamped twice onto a separate piece in the purples. Once in first generation, then again in second generation. They were then cut out using the coordinating All Aflutter Punch.

This gave us six butterflies, three slightly lighter than the others. Three were then chosen for the final project. I chose one dark and two lighter ones for mine.

A sentiment from the Banner Sayings Stamp Set and Triple Banner Punch is then stamped, layered and added to the bottom.

Each of the butterfly wings curled using a Paper Folder and then stuck to the project using Mini Dimensionals. These are placed to cover where the large and small leaves join each other.

Finally, small Iridescent Pearls are stuck in the centre of each of the five tiny flowers.

July 2026 Card Making Class – Project 4

Today I’m sharing this bright Birthday Card, the final project from my recent Card Making Class.

The theme for the class was ‘It’s all new to me!’ and used Stamp Sets I hadn’t used at a class before.

This design features the Words & Wishes Stamp Set & Dies Bundle from the May-August Catalogue.

I chose bright colours as this would make a great card for a teenager, or someone who is difficult to make for.

My colour combination is Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry and Poppy Parade, with Basic White. There is also Daffodil Delight in there as an accent too, more on that later.

To begin, a background flare is created in Crushed Curry, using a Blending Brush. Next, the candles are randomly stamped in the same colour.

Parcels are stamped and cut out using the coordinating dies. The birthday word and layer are then also cut out and carefully stuck together.

‘Happy’ is also stamped on a separate piece.

Each piece is then stuck to the background, with the ‘Happy’, ‘Birthday’ and one present raised up on Dimensionals.

As there isn’t a Crushed Curry Stampin’ Blend, I chose to use Daffodil Delight instead to colour the Rhinestone dot above the ‘i’.

Finally, three more Rhinestones were added for a touch of Birthday bling.

July 2026 Card Making Class – Project 3

The third project from my recent Card Making Class was this pretty scene.

With an ‘It’s all new to me!’ theme, this project uses the 5 BRAND NEW 2026-2028 In Colors. It gave the attendees that opportunity to use the new magnetic design Stampin’ Pads too.

Using the Untouched Landscapes Stamp Set from the May-August Catalogue, each image is stamped in a different colour.

A sentiment and layers, from the Banner Sayings Bundle are then added. I think this looks like a sign you would see on a walk in the countryside.

There really isn’t a lot to do to create this project, so it’s great for a quick and simple card. You could make several and then add the sentiment later depending on the occasion.

I love how the colours work really well together in the scene too.

July 2026 Card Making Class – Project 2

The second of the four projects from last weekend’s Card Making Class was this cute Birthday Card.

As the theme of the class was ‘It’s all new to me!’ I chose this new to me Cutest Crew Stamp Set Bundle. This Stamp Set and Dies Bundle is from the Online Exclusives range.

Using Basic Beige and Pecan Pie for my card, layers and background stamping allowed the Basic White and Basic Gray to stand out.

To begin the paw prints are stamped across the bottom half of the background.

Then, the sentiment is stamped in the top corner.

Next, a strip of Pecan Pie is stuck across the background, covering the top of the paw print stamping.

The cats are then stamped in Basic Gray and cut out using the coordinating dies.

These are then brought to life with Watercolor Pencils and a Blender Pen.

Dimensionals raise the cats above the strip.

Finally, a Antique Pearl is added to either side of the strip.

July 2026 Card Making Class – Project 1

At the weekend I held my monthly Card Making Class. The theme for the class was ‘It’s all new to me!’ and used new products from the May-August Catalogue and Online Exclusive ranges.

The first of the four projects used the Sweet Foliage Stamp Set from the Online Exclusives range.

As this is a large stamp, it does a lot of the hard work for you and was perfect for this any occasion card.

I chose to stamp the image in Mossy Meadow to create darker lines and to help the colouring to stand out.

The leaves were then coloured using Stampin’ Blends in Lemon Lime Twist, Granny Apple Green and Old Olive. By colouring sections down the project from lightest to darkest, it created a lovely ombre effect.

After punching two circles, the sentiment from the Wild Bunch Stamp Set, a former Product of the Month, was stamped in Mossy Meadow.

I chose Old Olive card for the project layers.

Using Dimensionals, the sentiment was raised up above the background.

Coordinating dots from the Moody Palette Glossy Dots were then added as a finishing touch.

This project would look great in various colours. I’ve got lots of ideas for when I next use the Stamp Set.

Last Week’s Card & Cuppa – Lovely Arrangements Bundle

Last week’s Card & Cuppa Class project was once again a floral design.

I had been asked for something suitable for a wedding. My version is for a Birthday, as I don’t have any weddings in my calendar.

The design uses the Lovely Arrangements Bundle (Lovely Arrangements Stamp Set & Lovely Arrangements Dies) from the Online Exclusives range.

Don’t forget to also check out the Last Chance Products on the website too.

As the attendees could choose to colour their flowers how they wanted, I used Cloud Cover as the accent colour. This way, it could work with pretty much every colour.

To begin, the background was given a subtle hint of colour using a Blending Brush and a Soft Sea Foam Stampin’ Pad.

Next the flowers from the Stamp Set were stamped in Basic Gray. These, along with the leaves and the circles piece were cut out using the coordinating Dies.

A circle cut using a Circle Punch was also created. You can’t see it on the finished project, but this is used in a little while.

Using Watercolour Pencils and a Blender Pen, each flower was coloured and given touch of Wink of Stella in the centre.

The leaves were then given some colour, again using the Blending Brush.

To assemble, first the circles piece was added to the background.

Then, the punched circle is used as the flowers are stuck onto it, along with the leaves. This isn’t seen, but I refer to it as a ‘helper piece’ as it helps everything to stick together more easily.

A sentiment, also from the set is punched and this is added to the back of the flower piece.

This whole section is then raised up on Dimensionals.

Finally, some coordinating In Color Flat Pearls are added for a touch of bling.

March Card Making Class – Project 4

Today I’m sharing the 4th and final project from my recent Card Making Class.

The theme for March’s class was Backgrounds and more, so I chose a project where the attendees could grunge as much as they liked.

For this design, I used various shades of brown to create the grunge effect and used Basic Beige instead of Basic White or Very Vanilla to achieve a more muted look.

All of the background stamping used the Swirled Designs Stamp Set from the Online Exclusives range. Basic Beige, Crumb Cake, Pecan Pie and Early Espresso are all used and stamped onto Basic Beige cardstock.

Then, Blending Brushes, Sponge Daubers, Crumb Cake and Pecan Pie ink are used to add some extra colour across the piece.

Lengths of coordinating Crumb Cake Baker’s Twine from the Essentials Pack were then added.

The Fabulous Sayings Stamp Set, a Product of the Month (POTM) offering provides the sentiment. This is raised up on Dimensionals.

March Card Making Class – Project 3

This is the third project from my recent Card Making Class.

The theme for the class was ‘Backgrounds and more’, so I chose to use the Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder from the Annual Catalogue.

Once the piece of Basic White cardstock had been embossed, we used a Brayer to very quickly colour the brickwork.

This colouring technique is something I haven’t used at class before, so it was a great learning experience for the attendees.

Three flowers from the Natural Botanicals Stamp Set were stamped onto Petunia Pop cardstock and three sets of leaves from the Choose Happy Stamp Set were stamped onto Granny Apple Green cardstock. Secret Sea was used for all of the stamping on this project.

These were all cut out by hand with the centre of the flowers coloured with a black journalling pen.

They were then stuck to two layered circles from the Online Exclusives range, one in Real Red to coordinate with the brick brayering and the card layer.

A sentiment from the Simply Said Stamp Set is then also attached to the back circles.

This whole piece was then attached to the background wall using Dimensionals.

March Card Making Class – Project 2

The second project from the weekend’s Card Making Class was this sunny Birthday card.

With the theme of the class being Backgrounds and More, this ombre beach scene is just perfect.

A combination of Balmy Blue, Crushed Curry, Azure Afternoon and some Blending Brushes create the sky, sand and sea.

The sun and boat are from the Choose Happy Stamp Set. Both are coloured using Stamping Blends, with the boat cut out by hand. Care is needed to avoid cutting the sail from the boat!

In the bottom corner, a sentiment from the Banner Saying Stamp Set is stamped. This Stamp Set is in the Online Exclusives range.

Although I used Crushed Curry for the sun and sand, I chose to combine Daffodil Delight with Azure Afternoon for my card layers. This gave the project a much brighter look and feel.

Finally, the boat is raised up on Dimensionals to look like it is sailing by!
