Special Christmas Cards 2022 – Project 2

Today’s project is the second card from my recent Special Christmas Cards class.

For this annual class, I always make sure that one project is suitable for chidren (of all ages!). This Rudolph project is the card that fits the brief for 2022!

Shimmery White cardstock gives the project a sparkly touch.

Using bright colours of Poppy Parade and Parakeet Party, a stripey background is created.

A face is made using a circle cut from the Laering Circle Dies. Eyes are from the Tailor Made Tag Dies, these are the hole reinforcer pieces. The nose is from the Stylish Shapes Dies, with the antlers cut using the Deer Builder Punch.

By arranging multiple antlers together, these create larger ones.

Once the eye and mouth are in place, the inner of the eyes are then coloured using a black felt-tip pen, I’ve used a Stampin’ Write Marker.

A swoosh of coordinating In Color Metallic Ribbon is then added, before the face is attached using Dimensionals.

The nose is given some sparkle using Wink of Stella and also added using Dimensionals.

Finally, some Champagne Rhinestones are dotted across the project for even more sparkle.

The attendees also made an envelope from a piece of DSP for their card.

Countdown to Christmas 2022 – Week 11

Our penultimate Countdown to Christmas 2022 project is this fun parcel card. It is also the 4th and final project from my Crack Your Christmas Cards Class.

As with the other projects from the class, this design uses the Spruced Up Stamp Set and coordinating Spruced Up Outline Dies. It also uses the Real Red & Garden Green Ribbon Combo Pack and Seasonal Sequins too.

I have been using this design a lot recently and love how versatile it is.

The project uses 3 colours from the class colour palette, Crushed Curry, Real Red and Garden Green.

Presents are stamped across the background before the ribbon ‘wrapping’ is added.

Two circles cut using the Layering Circles Dies are then layered together, one with a sentiment stamped onto it.

Next, it was time to create the candy canes. As I wanted them to face in opposite directions, rather than the one way in the stamp set, I used a different method.

First, the cane shapes were cut out using the dies and laid next to each other straight edge to straight edge. Then, using the striped bauble image in the stamp set, the candy canes were given their stripes.

These were then glued together and a star was attached using a Glue Dot, before the whole piece was raised up using Dimensionals.

Finally, Seasonal Sequins are dotted across the project.

Countdown to Christmas 2022 – Week 10

How is it already week 10 on this year’s Countdown to Christmas series?

Today’s project is the 2nd design from my Crack Your Christmas Cards Class, where everyone makes 16 cards (4 each of 4 designs). I showed you project 1 yesterday.

All of the designs use the Spruced Up Stamp Set and coordinating Dies, along with the Real Red & Garden Green Combo Pack Ribbon and the Seasonal Sequins.

The Stamp Set, Dies and Sequins are on the Last Chance Products list, so grab then while you can as they are only available while stocks last.

Balmy blue stars, covering only one side make a lovely backdrop for the baubles.

The baubles are stamped in Red Red and Garden Green with a topper cut from Crushed Curry using the Dies.

The baubles are then mounted onto circles cut from the Layering Circles Dies, with a sentiment stuck on top..

Coordinating ribbon tails stick out from behind the circles.

Finally, some of the sequins are dotted around to finish the project.

Countdown to Christmas 2022 – Week 9

Week 9 of this year’s Countdown to Christmas series is also my final Christmas Card Club project of 2022.

It’s become a bit of a tradition for me to design a poinsettia Christmas Card, so I couldn’t resist adding one for my final Christmas Card Club project.

This card is a CASE of this previous project.

I chose a traditional colour combination of Real Red, Garden Green and Very Vanilla, with Gold Ribbon.

Lengths of the Gold Shimmer Ribbon are made to look like a present. This ribbon is on the Last Chance Products list as it is retiring from the July-December Mini Catalogue. Make sure you grab items on the list quickly as they may even be sold out by now.

The poinsettia is created using the Spruced Up Outline Dies, which are also on the retiring list.

These pieces are layered together on top of a shape cut from the Layering Circles Dies.

A sentiment, from the retiring Penguin Place Stamp Set sits behind the circle. It has the ends cut into a banner shape.

Finally, a Glossy Dot in Daffodil Delight creates the centre of the poinsettia.

Countdown to Christmas 2022 – Week 3

For this week’s Countdown to Christmas 2022 project, it’s a quick and simple card with no stamping.

It uses an Embossing Folder, Dies and a Punch, plus some Ribbon.

As it is a reindeer, I chose Crumb Cake, Soft Suede and Real Red to go with Basic White.

The background is from the Merry Melody 3D Embossing Folder. I’m not sure what tune it is, but we’ll pretend it’s a Christmas carol!

Circles are then cut using the Layering Circles Dies and stuck together.

For Rudolph, the pieces are cut using the Reindeer Builder Punch, assembled and stuck to the circles.

This sits on Dimensionals over the top of a length of Gold Shimmer Ribbon

Finally, a Red Rhinestone is added to create the shiny nose.

Customer Thank You Using Quiet Meadow

Today I’m sharing my recent customer Thank You cards.

I chose to use a colour combination of Fresh Freesia, Old Olive and Very Vanilla.

The images are from the Quiet Meadow Stamp Set from the Annual Catalogue.

First, the background is stamped using the ‘splat’ image in various generations of stamping.

Next, the flower image is coloured using Stampin’ Write Markers to give the coloured effect. If you’d like more information on using Stampin’ Write Markers to ink up your stamps, then take a look at my Top Tips, Tricks & Techniques video on the topic.

Using a Blender Pen, I’ve coloured in the images taking the ink from the stamped image. Wink of Stella is then added to the centre of the flowers for a little bit of sparkle.

The image is cut out using the Layering Circles Dies and stuck onto a Fresh Freesia layer.

‘You’re too kind’ is stamped and has a length of coordinating ribbon added.

Finally, a few small Pearls are dotted across the card.

Countdown to Christmas 2021 #8

The next project in my Countdown to Christmas 2021 series is another project from my recent Crack Your Christmas Cards Class.

Well, in fact it’s actually 3 projects as I’m sharing the rest of the projects from the class. I’m concentrating on this one, but the other two are at the end of this post.

We’re still trying to decide if this is a reinguin, a pendolph, or something else!

All the projects from the class used the Penguin Place Bundle (Penguin Place Stamp Set & Penguin Builder Punch) from the Mini Catalogue.

This project uses Cherry Cobbler.

The penguin is stamped, punched and the feet are added. Then, the antlers are stamped near to the top of the circle, cut using the Layering Circles Dies.

A length of Glittered Organdy Ribbon is then added. With the circles layered, these then sit over the end of the ribbon to make it look like a hanging bauble.

Next, a bow made from the ribbon sits at the top.

A sparkly red nose, from the Holiday Rhinestones are then added.

Finally, a few more coordinating rhinestones are dotted across the project.

The next project is this cute penguin with a Coastal Cabana flare created with a Sponge Dauber. You could also use a Blending Brush. He sits on a pretty snowflake.

And finally, this cute penguin who is wrapped up warm in the snow. It uses Shaded Spruce as the main colour.

In Color Hand-Penned Petals

For this project, I’ve reached for the Hand-Penned Petals Stamp Set and combined them with this year’s In Colors.

My colour combination is Soft Succulent, Polished Pink and Rich Razzleberry. These are paired with Basic Gray and Basic White.

Leaves from the Hand-Penned Petals Stamp Set are stamped across the background.

The flower outline images, also from the Stamp Set is stamped in Basic Gray. They are then filled in with the colours using the infil stamps. A spot of Wink of Stella is added to the centre of each flower.

This sits on circles cut from the Layering Circles Dies.

On top of this, a length of coordinating In Color Ribbon is added, with a sentiment from the Prince & Princess Host Stamp Set.

Finally, In Color Jewels, again in Polished Pink are dotted across the project.

Countdown to Christmas 2021 #6

The next project in my Countdown to Christmas 2021 series is another great card that can easily be made in multiples.

It uses the tried and tested Real Read, Garden Green and Basic White colour combination.

Using the snow image from the Nature’s Beauty Stamp Set, a background is stamped.

Then, a circle and a scalloped circle from the Layering Circles Dies are cut out. One of these is stamped with a sentiment from the Holly Jolly Wishes Stamp Set.

With this sentiment, the accents couldn’t be anything other than holly!

The new Holly Border Punch from the Mini Catalogue creates the holly leaves. These are attached with a combination of glue dots to the sentiment and Mini Dimensionals to the background. This gives a bit more depth.

Finally, three red Wonderful Gems create the holly berries, with three of the clear ones added to the background.

If you’re wondering why the toadstools have made an appearance in this project, it’s because it was National Mushroom Appreciation Day earlier this week!

They, and the leaf are from the Iconic Dies in the Annual Catalogue.

My colour combination is Pear Pizzazz, Real Read and Crumb Cake, with Basic White.

The tops of the toadstools are coloured with a Sponge Dauber, and the leaf is given extra depth too.

Using the Gorgeous Leaves Stamp Set to create the background splats, the edges are then softened with some more green, again using a Sponge Dauber.

A piece of Crumb Cake is cut using the Layering Circles Dies and then embossed with the Bark Embossing Folder to give some extra texture.

These all sit over several lengths of coordinating Baker’s Twine from the Essentials Pack.
