Gorgeous Leaves Bundle in Shades of Brown

Today it’s time to have another play with the fabulous Gorgeous Leaves Bundle from the new July-December Mini Catalogue.

I previous made this project and have remade it using the new Gorgeous Leaves Bundle (Gorgeous Leaves Stamp Set and Intricate Leaves Dies).

It’s my Stamp Set of the Month for my September Class. This is also my Mostly Men Class too. Make sure you book your place by Wednesday 18th August.

This time, my colour combination is Crumb Cake, Soft Suede and Early Espresso with Very Vanilla.

A background using the splat-type image from the Stamp Set is created using Crumb Cake. Leaves from the Stamp Set are then stamped and cut out using the Dies and layered on top of the background.

The strip of Soft Suede cardstock has Soft Suede leaf shapes from the Dies added to create a layered effect.

Love of Leaves Stamp Set provides the sentiment cut out with the Double Oval Punch. It’s backed by a length of Faux Suede Trim. Gorgeous Leaves Bundle lin Shades of Brown. Project designed by Karen at HIPPOFROG Designs Finally, some Brushed Metallic Dots add a touch of bling.

For this week’s Top Tips, Tricks & Techniques video, I’m sharing a tip on where to find inspiration. Spoiler alert, it’s all around you!

First, I stamped the pretty daisy image multiple times onto Soft Sea Foam. I wanted to create the feeling of a meadow with the greeny background.

Using Watercolor Pencils, I have coloured the leaves and flowers with Old Olive, Daffodil Delight and White to highlight them.

The Love of Leaves Stamp Set provides the lovely sentiment. This is cut out using the Double Oval Punch. I also added a couple of daisies to coordinate with the main stamping.

Both the Stamp Set and Punch made their first appearance in the January-June Mini Catalogue. Don’t forget that some of the items in this catalogue won’t be available after the end of June.

Using a Stampin’ Blend in Daffodil Delight adds colour to the Crinkled Seam Binding.

This is then looped behind the sentiment.

Last Week’s Card & (Your) Cuppa – Muted Colours with Texture and a Leaf

Last week’s Card & (Your) Cuppa project was this card of muted colours with texture and a leaf.

My colour combo of Crumb Cake, Soft Suede and Very Vanilla is a favourite.

The background is embossed using the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder.

This then has a diagonal length of Embroidered Ribbon and Linen Trim attached.

Another length of Linen Thread is then looped to create interest for the leaf to sit on.

Layers of Stitched Shapes Dies in all three colours, with a sentiment from the co-ordinating Love of Leaves Stamp Set are popped in the corner. The leaf dies and stamp set are available as a bundle from the current Mini Catalogue.

Finally, the leaf from the Stitched Leaves Dies is raised on Dimensionals above the Linen Thread loops.

This is a great card for any occasion with a simple sentiment change.

Love of Leaves for my Lovely Customers

You know how much I love making thank you cards for those who support my business. This is the card I send to my lovely July customers, made using the Love of Leaves Bundle.

Everyone who places an order with me during the month, receives a handmade thank you card from me the following month. If you use the Hostess Code for your online order, you’ll receive a little gift from me too.

For this project, I chose to use just two colours, Cinnamon Cider and Pear Pizzazz, along with Very Vanilla. Cinnamon Cider is one of the new In Colors for 2020 and works really well in this colour combination.

The Love of Leaves Bundle from the Mini Catalogue is made up of the Love of Leaves Stamp Set and the stunning Stitched Leaves Dies. Take a look at the pretty stitched lines on the leaf. I fell in love with this bundle rather quickly. Not only does the stamp set have a variety of leaf designs, it has some great sentiments too.

A simple background is made by stamping the leaf multiple times in one colour. Then, I die-cut the leaf shape in the other colour.

A couple of lengths of of the beautifully tactile Embroidered Ribbon, again from the Mini Catalogue, is stuck to the back of the leaf.

Cinnamon Cider ink is used to stamp the sentiment, cut out with the Classic Label Punch.

Finally, the leaf piece is attached with Dimensionals to raise it up off the page.

New Mini Catalogue – Beautiful Autumn is here!

Today I am able to share the new Mini Catalogue with you – yay!

It has lots of new products, including this fabulous Beautiful Autumn Stamp Set and Punch Pack Bundle. Plus, there are some returning favourites from last year too.

This Stepper Card is a project from my recent Fancy Folds Papercrafting Class. The eagle-eyed attendees spotted new items on my sample and were then eager for their Mini Catalogues to arrive!

My colour combination for this Stepper Card is autumnal tones of Rich Razzleberry, Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry and Old Olive. Using Very Vanilla with these colours helps to give them a more muted feel.

As well as the Beautiful Autumn Bundle, two other products from the Mini Catalogue feature.

The new Love of Leaves Stamp Set creates a pretty autumn feel for the background. Some attendees even thought it was a piece of DSP, which shows how fabulous the images are.

A length of the new Embroidered Ribbon, sits across the front.

Using lots of stamped and punched shapes from the Beautiful Autumn Stamp Set and Punch Pack Bundle, I then added layers to the front step piece.

You will know how much I love punches, so this trio punch pack has really made me smile. They can be used with the co-ordinating stamp set, or on their own. Make sure you take a look at the fabulous DSP from the Suite as images can be cut out with the punches.
