Last Week’s Card & Cuppa – Loveliest Tree Stamp Set & Dies

For last week’s Card & Cuppa project, we used the Loveliest Tree Stamp Set & Dies from the Annual Catalogue.

Using Garden Green, Balmy Blue and Blending Brushes, the background was created.

Next, leaves from the Loveliest Tree Stamp Set were stamped across the background and coloured using Blender Pens.

The tree was then stamped onto a separate piece of Very Vanilla in Garden Green and cut out using the coordinating dies.

As the trunk was green, we used an Early Espresso Watercolor Pencil and a Blender Pen to make it brown. The leaves of the tree were then also quickly coloured using the Blender Pen to pull the green.

Next, a sentiment from the set was stamped.

Both the tree and sentiment pieces were raised up on Dimensionals.

This is a great neutral project you could to send to anyone.

August Card Making Class – Project 1

At the weekend, I held my monthly Card Making Class. The theme for August was Fabulous Florals.

The first project is this pretty Birthday Card.

My colour combination was Flirty Flamingo, Cajun Craze, Old Olive and Basic White.

A brick background was created using the Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder. This was then given some colour using a Blending Brush and Cajun Craze Ink.

Next, flowers and leaves from the Bee My Valentine Stamp Set were stamped, with the flowers a mix of first and second generation stamping to create some variety. Fussy cutting was then needed.

A length of Woven Ribbon, currently on the Last Chance Products list was then coloured using a Stampin’ Blend.

It sits across the centre.

The sentiment from the Loveliest Tree Stamp Set was stamped and cut out usnig a Circle Punch from the Online Exclusives range.

Flowers and leaves were then stuck around the edge of the sentiment before being stuck over the ribbon.

Finally, a small Rhinestone was stuck to the centre of each flower.

Last Week’s Card & Cuppa – In Color 2025-2027

Over the past five Card & Cuppa sessions, I’ve been introducing the attendees to each of the new In Colors for 2025-2027.

Last week’s project combined them all together.

This design uses all of the new In Colors, Cloud Cover, Darling Duckling, Secret Sea, Strawberry Slush and Timid Tiger. They are combined here with Basic White.

Don’t forget that select In Color 2025-2027 products are currently on offer.

Using the Loveliest Tree Stamp Set, the leaves were randomly stamped onto the background in the darkest of the colours, Secret Sea.

The leaves were then coloured using Stampin’ Blends in the the other colours.

Strips of the colours were then added across the centre.

A shape from the Nested Essentials Dies was cut out twice. One was then stamped using the Tags of Thanks Stamp Set. The Tags of Thanks Stamp Set is on the Last Chance Products List, so make sure you grab this really versatile sentiment set while you can.

Both shapes had a hole punched in the top using the coordinating Hole Punch Assortment.

Next, a length of Baker’s Twine from the Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack was coloured using a Stampin’ Blend. This was threaded through the punched holes.

I chose Darling Duckling for my centre strip, card layer, tag layer and the colouring of the Baker’s Twine to coordinate everything.

Finally, the tags was attached to the project using Dimensionals.

Do you have a favourite from this year’s In Colors?

June Card Making Class – Project 1

At the weekend I held my monthly card making class. Here is the 1st project from June’s session.

The theme for this month was ‘It’s all new to me!’ This meant the projects featured products that were new to me from the new Annual Catalogue, along with some Online Exclusives too.

A new Bundle containing the Loveliest Tree Stamp Set and Loveliest Tree Dies was the focus of this project.

It has a classic colour combination of Crumb Cake, Old Olive and Very Vanilla.

Leaves from the stamp set were stamped onto the background and coloured using a Blender Pen.

Next, the tree and sentiment were stamped onto separate pieces.

The Blender Pen was also used on the trunk and branches before a Blending Brush and ink coloured the canopy.

Using the Dies, the tree was cut out. A Die from the Beautiful Butterflies Dies was then used twice, once to cut the sentiment and again for the layer behind it.

To create the layer behind, the piece was simply cut in half and attached to the back.

This then sat on Mini Dimensionals over a length of coordinating Baker’s Twine from the Essentials Pack.

Finally, the tree was attached using a combination of regular and mini Dimensionals.
