Lovely You for my Lovely Customers

My November customers were all sent this handmade card to say thank you for supporting my business.

As it uses the Lovely You Stamp Set and co-ordinating Punch Bundle, it’s more of a lovely you for my lovely customers project.

As I thought people might be getting a bit fed up with Christmas colours, I chose to use the Subtles Collection for my colour combination.

There’s Pool Party, So Saffron, Blushing Bride and Soft Sea Foam, plus Whisper White.

Don’t forget to check this post with information on the replacement for Whisper White.

Stamping the images in a random patterns gives the impression of them falling across the page.

As Soft Sea Foam is quite a pale ink, itdoesn’t show up very well in my pictures.

A length of co-ordinating Pool Party Sheer Ribbon with knotted ends is then added.

The sentiment and sentiment layer has ends cut with the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch. This punch and the stamp set form part of a discounted Bundle.

Some small Pearls, coloured with a Pool Party Stampin’ Blend add a finishing touch.

Going Batty

I must be going batty! Well, this Halloween project certainly is.

It’s my version of a project on Page 45 of the August-December Mini Catalogue.

The project uses Purple Posy, Highland Heather and Basic Black.

Firstly, the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder creates a pretty background. Using a Sponge Dauber, I have darkened areas using Highland Heather Ink.

An image from the Textured Essentials Stamp Set is stamped onto a piece of Purple Posy in Highland Heather. This is then cut into strips, the ends shaped and then attached to the tag piece.

Lots of punches are in use here, the Fancy Tag Topper Punch, Lovely Labels Pick a Punch and the Detailed Trio Punch. The bat is made using the Umbrella Builder Punch, with the large umbrella for the wings and a section of the smaller closed shape for the body.

A few extra umbrella pieces are added to the background piece to give my bat some friends.

Metallic Mesh is threaded through the hole in the tag. This then has a bow to secure it using the Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon. To change the colour to co-ordinate with the rest of the project, I used Stampin’ Blends..

Finally, the tag was stuck to the project using Dimensionals and two Pearl eyes.

Blossoms in Bloom Birthday Card

This Blossoms in Bloom Birthday Card is one I made for a regular class attendee.

It’s a version of this project, and this project, but uses a circle instead.

Soft Sea Foam and Calypso Coral are my main colours for the basecard and layer.

The circle from the Swirly Frames Stamp Set is stamped in delicate Soft Sea Foam onto a layer of Whisper White.

Then, using the Detailed Trio Punch, the corners are rounded to mirror the circle.

The flowers from the Blossoms in Bloom Stamp Set are stamped in Calypso Coral, with Bumblebee centres. I’ve used Pear Pizzazz for the leaves, as the stamping stands out against the Soft Sea Foam.

A touch of Wink of Stella for the centre of the flowers adds some sparkle.

Each leaf and flower is cut out by hand and stuck on with Glue Dots.

For the sentiment, I have cut three layers using the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch, each a little longer than the previous one.

Finally, co-ordinating Artistry Blooms Sequins are added for some extra bling.

Daisy Lane, Crumb Cake & Watercolor Pencils

I’m sharing another floral project with you today made with Daisy Lane, Crumb Cake and Watercolor Pencils

This project is again inspired by the Annual Catalogue. If you head to page 13, you’ll see a similar project.

I chose to use Daisy Lane as my Stamp Set, with Rich Razzleberry as my main colour. I have stamped tone-on-tone on the Crumb Cake and then coloured using Watercolor Pencils. A Blender Pen over the colouring then helps to blend them together.

Even though the base card is Very Vanilla, I have stamped the sentiment from Lovely You onto a strip of Rich Razzleberry with a Whisper White Inkpad.

Using the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch, one end of the sentiment is shaped. The Stamp Set and Punch are available as a discounted Bundle.

This stamped and punched sentiment is then stuck over a bow from Linen Thread.

Finally, a few Artistry Blooms Adhesive-Backed Sequins in co-ordinating Rich Razzleberry, in different sizes, add a touch of sparkle. As they already have adhesive attached, they are easy to adhere.

Card & (Your) Cuppa for Children – A Wave of Balloons

For my final Card & (Your) Cuppa for Children class of the summer, I designed this wave of balloons project.

It uses mulitples of the same shape in shades of blue and purple to create a fabulous card. Using the same shape multiple times is really effective. It also saves a lot of time and effort!

For my purples we have my go-to trio of Purple Posy, Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grape. My blues are Pacific Point, Balmy Blue and Seaside Spray. As there are lots of colours, they are all mounted onto a Thick Whisper White basecard. This allows each colour to pop.

The Lovely Labels Pick a Punch creates the ends of the strips and the sentiment, with the balloons cut using the Balloon Bouquet Punch.

Once everything is cut, it’s time to start arranging the pieces how you’d like them. My project has the lighter colour strips and darker balloons in the centre for a contrast. I also made the centre strip and centre balloon in the opposite colour to the others.

A couple of pieces of the Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon create a cross in the middle.

With the centre balloon attached with Dimensionals, the ‘Happy Birthday’ is from the Timeless Tulips Stamp Set is added. This sentiment works really well with the narrowest setting on the punch.

Finally, some Rhinestone Birthday bling was added.

My young students have been brilliant and have created some fabulous projects.

Last Week’s Card & (Your) Cuppa – Playing with New Punches

For last week’s Card & (Your) Cuppa project, I reached for some of my new punches from the Annual Catalogue.

This project uses a combination of Crumb Cake, Pool Party, Crushed Curry and Whisper White. As it uses a few items several times, the attendees were able to combine their pieces in lots of different ways.

The pretty background is from the Ornate Floral Embossing folder, it gives a lovely textured design. For items with texture, it’s best to use Tear & Tape to attach them, to avoid using pressure and crushing the pattern.

Using cardstock shaped at the top with the new Fancy Tag Topper Punch, I put my Pool Party piece in front. A length of the new Sheer Pool Party Ribbon is looped through both shapes. Pictures of this ribbon don’t do it justice, it’s a ribbon you need to see and feel to really appreciate.

On top of my tags, a shape from the Label Me Lovely Punch is added. I’ve put the straight edges of the shape against the straight edges of my tag.

The Lovely Labels Pick a Punch provides the two strips across the tags. One cut in half and popped behind the first tag, overhanging the edges as long as needed, with the second stuck on top.

Two Crushed Curry and one Whisper White flower are cut from the Small Bloom Punch. This is another fab new punch that carried over from this year’s SAB offering.

For the centre of the white flower, one of the Playing with Patterns Resin Dots is added.

Finally, the tags are lifted from the page using Dimensionals.

Field of Flowers for my Customer Thank You Cards

I’m so grateful to everyone who has placed an order through my Online Store during this strange time.

As a thank you to these fabulous customers, they have been receiving these pretty cards. Some have also been receiving little gifts too for using the Hostess Code for their order. Customer recognition is one of my favourite parts of my job.

I used the new Field of Flowers Stamp Set from the new Annual Catalogue. My colour combination is Garden Green and Seaside Spray with Whisper White.

To make sure everything was aligned each time, my Stamparatus came in very handy. On one plate I had the flowers, and on another the dragonfly and stems, inking each one up in turn.

The Ornate Thanks Stamp Set provides the fabulous sentiment and this is on a shape cut from the amazing new Lovely Labels Pick a Punch. You know how much I love my punches, well this one is something very special. Pop back soon as I’ll be sharing a video on how to use it.

I think the shape really adds a classy finish to the project.
