Last Week’s Card & Cuppa – Bottled Happiness Stamp Set

Last week’s Card & Cuppa project takes inspiration from Page 17 of the Annual Catalogue.

My version has a delicate cottage garden feel with Fresh Freesia, Mint Macaron and So Saffron, combined with Very Vanilla and Smoky Slate.

The flowers are from the Bottled Happiness Stamp Set, a two-step stamp set.

Additional floral shapes are cut out using the Bough Punch.

A sentiment from the Lovely & Lasting Stamp Set is then stamped and cut out using the Label Me Fancy Punch.

The punched pieces sit on top of a coordinating ribbon swoosh and are raised up using Dimensionals.

Finally, some Iridescent Rhinestones add a touch of sparkle across the project.

I love the soft feel that this has with the colour combination. It can easily be reproduced using other colours and sentiments to create a different feel.

Last Week’s Card & Cuppa – Petal Park Bundle

Last week’s Card & Cuppa project used the new Petal Park Bundle from the January-April Mini Catalogue.

The Petal Park Bundle (Petal Park Stamp Set & Petal Park Builder Punch) is part of a wider Suite, Regency Park Suite Collection. My colour palette of Sweet Sorbet, Night of Navy and Shaded Spruce comes from that Suite.

With the Stamp Set being a two-step stampin’ set, the outlines and inner sections came together very quickly. Outlines were stamped straight from the ink pad, with the inners stamped off.

The focal flowers were stamped onto a separate sheet of Basic White Cardstock and cut out using the coordinating Petal Park Builder Punch.

A length of the new Bordered Ribbon in Night of Navy sits across the project.

Using another Bundle, Lovely & Lasting from the Annual Catalogue, the sentiment was stamped and punched.

Wink of Stella was added to the centre of the focal flowers before these and the sentiment were all raised up on Dimensionals.

Finally, some Adhesive-Backed Milky Dots from the Suite are dotted across the project.

Last Week’s Card & Cuppa – Hand-Penned Petals Stamp Set

My final Card & Cuppa project of the year was this red and green design.

I chose to use Poppy Parade and Granny Apple Green as the design could be used for a last-minute Christmas Card if needed, obviously with a different sentiment!

The flowers are from the Hand-Penned Petals Stamp Set and stamped in Tuxedo Black.

They are then coloured using Stampin’ Blends in Poppy Parade, Granny Apple Green and Daffodil Delight.

A sentiment from the Lovely & Lasting Stamp Set is cut out using the coordinating Lasting Label Punch.

This sits on Dimensionals over a swoosh of Metallic-Edge Cotton Ribbon.

Finally, some Festive Pearls, in silver to match the ribbon are added.

It’s a very quick and easy design to create and can be made in lots of different colours for many occasions.

Last Week’s Card & Cuppa – Dragonfly Garden Stamp Set & Punch

Since being back at in person Card & Cuppa classes, I have designed projects using stamp sets beginning with A, B and C.

Last week, it was the turn of D wtih the Dragonfly Garden Stamp Set and matching Dragonflies Punch. This card is inspired by a project in the Annual Catalogue.

For mine, I have used Mint Macaron and Soft Sea Foam for the layer and base card, with Basic White.

The small dragonflies are stamped tone-on-tone onto the layer.

Next, the sentiment, from the Lovely & Lasting Stamp Set is stamped onto the Basic White cardstock.

Then, using Basic Gray, the flower image is added. On a separate piece, the large dragonfly is stamped, also in Basic Gray and then cut out using the Dragonflies Punch.

Using Watercolor Pencils, both packs 1 and 2, these images are coloured and a Blender Pen is used to smooth out any colouring lines.

The wings are then gently curled with a Paper Folder and the dragonfly is stuck to the project using Dimensionals. This makes it look like it is flying.

Finally, a few Pearls are coloured using a Stampin’ Blend marker to coordinate them with the rest of the project.

I really like how using the softer colours for the background and base card has allowed the other colours to pop.

A Pretty Poppy in Shades of Blue

This pretty poppy in shades of blue uses the Painted Poppies Stamp Set and the coordinating Painted Labels Dies.

My colour combination is the In Color Starry Sky, along with Balmy Blue and Basic White.

For the background, I’ve stamped some of the block flower shapes, along with the splat-type stamp down the edge of the card.

The flower and leaves are stamped in Starry Sky and cut out using the dies, with the poppy then given a coat of Wink of Stella.

A sentiment from the Lovely & Lasting Stamp Set is stamped to one side of the shape, also cut from the Painted Label Dies.

This allows the poppy and leaves to be set to the left.

The whole sentiment piece is then raised up on Dimensionals.

Finally, some coordinating Solid Faceted Gems in Balmy Blue are dotted across the project.

This would be a great design to recreate in other colours too.

Last Week’s Card & (Your) Cuppa – Sun Prints DSP

Last week’s Card & (Your) Cuppa project may look familiar, that is deliberate!

At a previous class, there was a lot of love for this project, and I was asked for something similar but with a masculine feel. I don’t like to disappoint!

Also, you know that I’m not one to turn down an opportunity to create one of my stripe projects!

This card uses the Sun Prints DSP as the stripes. Night of Navy and Gray Granite, along with Basic White, the colours from the paper, provide the the coordinating items.

The stripey background is made, then given a some extra inking around the edge using a Blending Brush.

A length of the Shimmer Ribbon sits across the project.

Leaves cut from the Bough Punch and the Flowers & Leaves Punch are given a touch of extra colour and sit behind.

Happy Birthday is from the Lovely & Lasting Stamp Set and cut out with the Lasting Label Punch from the Bundle.

Another stem of leaves sits to the side. Using Dimensionals, the sentiment piece is then stuck to the project.

Finally, some coordinating Solid Faceted Gems are dotted around the project.

Oceanfront Birthday

Can you imagine yourself sat here? It looks very relaxing.

I was using a few stamp sets creating backgrounds for future projects. After creating this one, I had a project in my mind that I just had to finish.

The project is made using the Oceanfront Stamp Set. By stamping the same image multiple times in Balmy Blue, the strip across the middle is created.

On top of the central strip, tiny ‘splats’ are then added, again in Balmy Blue.

For the sentiment, the shape is cut using the Decorative Circle Punch. Then grasses are stamped in different generations of Old Olive.

Next, ‘Happy Birthday’ from the Lovely & Lasting Stamp Set is stamped to one side.

The rocks are then stamped in Sahara Sand on a separate piece of Basic White cardstock and fussy cut.

A length of Baker’s Twine from the Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack is looped behind, and the sentiment piece, along with the rocks are raised up on Dimensionals.

I think I’ll be making a few more backgrounds in different colours with this stamp set.

Lovely & Lasting Bundle

There was a lot of fussy cutting to create this ‘thank you’ card.

The main stars of the show were the items in the Lovely & Lasting Bundle, the Lovely & Lasting Stamp Set and Lasting Label Punch.

Using a favourite colour combination of Rich Razzleberry and Soft Succulent, along with Basic White shows off these pretty flowers.

I didn’t want to add too much to the background as the flowers are the stars, so the Painted Texture Embossing Folder provides a subtle backdrop.

Each flower is stamped second generation and then fussy cut by hand.

Leaves cut using the Bough Punch sit among the flowers.

For the sentiment, this is also from the Lovely & Lasting Stamp Set, cut out with the coordinating Lasting Label Punch.

A length of Satin Shimmer Ribbon sits behind the sentiment.

In Color Opal Rounds, in Soft Succulent, add a finishing touch.

Last Week’s Card & (Your) Cuppa – Decorative Circle Punch Flower

For last week’s Card & (Your) Cuppa project, I again decided to use punches in a slightly different way.

My colour combination is Sweet Sorbet and Parakeet Party, two of the new In Colors, along with Very Vanilla.

First, a sentiment from the Lovely & Lasting Stamp Set is stamped onto the background.

Using a Blending Brush, the edges are then coloured with Sweet Sorbet.

A strip of coordinating cardstock and ribbon are then added across this background piece.

The project uses the Decorative Circle Punch and the Fish Builder Punch, along with a circle from the Stylish Shapes Dies.

Again, using a Blending Brush, both sides of the Decorative Circle pieces are given some colour.

Next, they are scrunched to soften the fibres. This then allows the cardstock to be split in half to create two softer thinners layers.

These layers are then arranged, inked side up, and glued together to create the delicate Decorative Circle Punch flower. The circle piece, coated in Wink of Stella turns into the centre.

Fish Builder Punch shapes are given veins with a Bone Folder to create leaves.

Finally, some Iridescent Pearls are dotted across the project.
