July 2026 Card Making Class – Project 4

Today I’m sharing this bright Birthday Card, the final project from my recent Card Making Class.

The theme for the class was ‘It’s all new to me!’ and used Stamp Sets I hadn’t used at a class before.

This design features the Words & Wishes Stamp Set & Dies Bundle from the May-August Catalogue.

I chose bright colours as this would make a great card for a teenager, or someone who is difficult to make for.

My colour combination is Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry and Poppy Parade, with Basic White. There is also Daffodil Delight in there as an accent too, more on that later.

To begin, a background flare is created in Crushed Curry, using a Blending Brush. Next, the candles are randomly stamped in the same colour.

Parcels are stamped and cut out using the coordinating dies. The birthday word and layer are then also cut out and carefully stuck together.

‘Happy’ is also stamped on a separate piece.

Each piece is then stuck to the background, with the ‘Happy’, ‘Birthday’ and one present raised up on Dimensionals.

As there isn’t a Crushed Curry Stampin’ Blend, I chose to use Daffodil Delight instead to colour the Rhinestone dot above the ‘i’.

Finally, three more Rhinestones were added for a touch of Birthday bling.

Last Week’s Card & Cuppa – Introducing Barely Blush

Last Week’s Card & Cuppa class was the first session since the release of the new Stampin’ Up! Catalogue.

As there are five brand new In Colors, I decided the project would be introducing Barely Blush, along with the fabulous new magnetic ink pads.

I paired this new colour with Gray Granite and Basic White for a more monochrome look.

For this project, I also used the new All Aflutter Bundle (All Aflutter Stamp Set and All Aflutter Punch).

First, one side of the background was stamped with one of the images.

Next, on a separate piece, the butterflies were stamped. This was two-step stampin’, so I used Gray Granite for the outline and Barely Blush for the centre.

These were then punched out using the matching punch.

A sentiment from the Banner Saying Stamp Set was added onto a thin strip of coordinating cardstock.

The butterflies had their wings curled slightly using a Paper Folder before the top and bottom ones were attached using Glue Dots.

For the middle buttefly, this was attached using a Mini Dimensional to raise it up off the card.

Finally, some Rhinestones were added to give a bit of sparkle.

I’ve also created a handy picture of how Barely Blush compares to the current Stampin’ Up! core colours.

Last Week’s Card & Cuppa – Flowers Fair Stamp Set

Last week’s Card & Cuppa project used the gorgeous Flowers Fair Stamp Set with the spotlight technique.

As the attendees could use any colours for their project, I chose to use the In Color Secret Sea as the accent colour.

The Flowers Fair Stamp Set, from the Online Exclusives range, was stamped and then coloured using Stampin’ Blends. I chose greens, yellows and oranges for my design.

Using Wink of Stella, the centre of the flowers were given a touch of shimmer.

When the colouring was completed, a circle was cut out of the piece using a Circle Punch. A layer was also cut using a larger Circle Punch. The punches are also from the Online Exclusives range.

These two pieces were then stuck together.

A sentiment made using the Banner Sayings Bundle (Banner Sayings Stamp Set and Triple Banner Punch), also from the Online Exclusives range.

The cut out piece was then aligned and stuck to the background piece using Dimensionals.

Mini Dimensionals and a dot of glue were used to attach the sentiment.

Finally, some Rhinestones were added for a touch of bling.

March Card Making Class – Project 1

At the weekend I held my Monthly Card Making Class. The theme was Backgrounds and More and this is the first of the 4 projects from the session.

This uses the beautiful Flowers Fair Stamp Set from the Online Exclusives range. As it is a background stamp, the image does all the hard work.

It is stamped in Basic Gray to give a more gentle outline and then coloured using Watercolor Pencils and Blender Pens.

I also used a very light touch of Wink of Stella in the centre of the smaller flowers.

The sentiment is from the Banner Sayings Stamp Set, cut out with the coordinating Triple Banner Punch. These items are also from the Online Exclusives range.

Using Mini Dimensionals, the sentiment is raised up above the flowers.

Finally, some Rhinestones are added for a little touch of bling.

I also created a version in the same colours using Stampin’ Blends instead.

This Stamp Set is going to quickly become a favourite of mine and my mind is full of ideas for projects using it.

Last Week’s Card & Cuppa – Swirled Designs Stamp Set

Last week’s Card & Cuppa project was this abstract Birthday card in pinks and purples.

It uses two In Colors – Petunia Pop and Pretty in Pink, along with Fresh Freesia and Basic White.

The background images are all from the Swirled Designs Stamp Set from the Online Exclusives range.

Each image is stamped multiple times on the background to create the design.

A Blender Pen is then used to colour the flowers a bit more. This pulls the colour from the other stamping and just fills them in slightly.

The Banner Sayings Bundle (Banner Saying Stamp Set & Three Banner Punch) provide the sentiment detail. These are also from the Online Exclusives range.

Using a Stampin’ Blend, a length of Baker’s Twine from the Essentials Pack is coloured to coordinate with the colour scheme.

The sentiment piece is attached to the project using Mini Dimensionals.

Finally, some rhinestones are added for a touch of bling.

This is a really quick and easy card to make and also easy to replicate with different colours and stamp sets.

Countdown to Christmas 2025 – Week 3

The project for week 3 of my Countdown to Christmas 2025 series is this fabulous monochrome design.

You will know that I love a monochrome design, so this Christmas Card in Balmy Blue and Basic White meets that brief.

I’ve used the new Traditional Labels Stamp Set and Dies Bundle from the new Mini Catalogue.

First, I’ve created a background flare using a Blending Brush. You’ll know that I enjoy creating these flares too, so that’s another tick in the box for this design! They are a quick and easy way of adding colour to a background.

Next, the sentiment was stamped using the Traditional Labels Stamp Set and that and the other shapes were cut out using the coordinating Dies from the Bundle.

A length of the White Woven Ribbon, currently in the Last Chance Products category is coloured using Stampin’ Blends. This is wrapped across the project.

The various layers of shapes are then stuck together before being raised above the ribbon using Dimensionals.

Finally, some Rhinestones are added for a touch of festive bling.

I really enjoy this type of design as you could quite easily make one in every colour in no time at all.

Last Week’s Card & Cuppa – Textured Notes

Last week’s Card & Cuppa class revisited this previous design from one of my monthly classes.

As you can see, I’ve made a few design tweaks and used a new colour combination too.

My colours are Pool Party, Pretty Peacock and Night of Navy, with Basic White. I really love this colour combination.

The background images from the Textured Notes Stamp Set, from the Online Exclusives range are stamped second generation to give a more delicate look.

Next, the leaves are stamped multiple times, with the ends of the stems joining in the centre.

White Woven Ribbon is then coloured with a Stampin’ Blend and stuck across the centre. This is now in the Last Chance products section and available while stocks last.

A sentiment from the Simply Said Stamp Set is cut out using the 1 7/8″ Circle Punch, new in the Annual Catalogue. This is layered onto another punched circle.

Using Dimensionals, the sentiment is attached above the ribbon.

Finally, Rhinestones are added for a touch of bling.

Last Week’s Card & Cuppa – Beautiful Butterflies Stamp Set

Last week’s Card & Cuppa project was this colourful butterfly card.

I had been asked to design a project using the silhouette technique, so this is my version.

Each coloured circle is made using a piece of cardstock punched out using a punch from the Online Exclusives range.

These masks are then coloured using Blending Brushes and two colours for each circle. Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie, Flirty Flamingo and Berry Burst and Granny Apple Green and Azure Afternoon.
