Last Week’s Card & Cuppa – Christmas Punch Art Robin

Last week’s Card & Cuppa project was this cute Christmas punch art robin on a tag.

It uses traditional Christmas colours of Real Red and Old Olive with Very Vanilla. Along with Pecan Pie and Daffodil Delight for the robin body and beak.

The background is embossed using the Merry Melody 3D Embossing Folder.

Next, the tag is created by cutting the edges off two rectangles using the Very Best Trio Punch.

Using the Christmas Classics Stamp Set (on the Last Chance Products List), the spruce branches are added to the Very Vanilla layer. The pieces are then layered together and a ribbon slot is created using the punch too.

A sentiment, using the stamp set from the Christmas Everywhere Kit sits on a layered oval cut using the Double Oval Punch.

For the robin, the various pieces are cut out using the Songbird Builder Punch and stuck together. The eye is drawn on using a Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker.

Both the robin and sentiment are stuck to the tag and a length of Real Red Ribbon from the Ribbon Combo Pack is looped through the ribbon slot.

Dimensionals are used to attach the tag.

Finally, some gold Festive Pearls add an extra touch of Christmas bling.

Countdown to Christmas 2023 – Week 8

Week 8 of my Countdown to Christmas 2023 series is this non-stamping project.

If you have lots of pretty papers sitting around, it’s a great stash buster.

The DSP I’ve used is the Joy of Christmas pack, on the current Last Chance Products list and retiring very soon.

Don’t forget that Last Chance products are only available while stocks last, so grab them while you can!

I used the sheets to create a split background and covered the join with a piece of the Gold Trim from the Online Exclusives range.

I’ve then used the sheets to create the Christmas tree. This is made from 3 triangles, cut from the DSP. They are folded in half and then glued together to create the pop-up effect. As there are only three triangles, the tree lays flat for posting.

Each triangle is given a coating of Wink of Stella for some festive shimmer.

These then sit on a snowball shape cut from the Decorative Circle Punch, backed with a Real Red shape cut from the 2 3/8 Circle Punch.

The project sits on a Basic White layer, onto a Real Red base card. The colours are taken from the colours in the DSP.

Finally, a Brushed Metallic Gold embellishment sits at the top of the tree.

Countdown to Christmas 2023 – Week 5

Today I’m sharing October’s Christmas Card Club project. This card is the project for Week 5 of my Countdown to Christmas 2023 series.

For October’s project, I made this card, inspired by Page 21 of the September-December Mini Catalogue.

With the colour combination of Crumb Cake, Mossy Meadow, Real Red and Very Vanilla, it has a rustic feel.

The background is made from shapes cut from the Modern Oval Punch from the Mini Catalogue. These are then given some texture by embossing with the Online Exclusives Basics 3D Embossing Folders.

Once these are stuck to the layer, any excess overhang is cut away.

A strip of Mossy Meadow cardstock is then attached, with a length of the Real Red & Garden Green Ribbon Combo Pack on top of that.

Using the Christmas Classics Stamp Set, a new favourite of mine from the Mini Catalogue, the sentiment is created. This is cut out using the Nested Essentials Dies.

Two sets of leaves cut using the Bough Punch are then stuck to the back of the sentiment.

This is then attached to the project using Dimensionals.

Finally, some Iridescent Pearls are added for a touch of bling.

Last Week’s Card & Cuppa – Cheerful Daisies

Last week’s Card & Cuppa project used the Cheerful Daisies Stamp Set.

A colour combination of Early Espresso, Daffodil Delight and Very Vanilla created the pretty design.

It also uses just the one Stampin’ Pad. To begin, the sentiment was stamped into the top corner.

Using Grid Paper, we masked the top section off to allow us to use the stamp set to create the daisy covered bottom.

Each daisy was coloured using the Watercolor Pencils. I used a combination of Daffodil Delight, Crushed Curry and Early Espresso for mine. They almost have a more sunflower look about them.

As the stamping is in Early Espresso, I didn’t use a blender pen to hide my pencil marks as the brown would have bled into the yellow and made a darker, dirty colour.

The smaller daisy was also stamped separately and coloured. It was then punched out with the Circle Punch from the Online Exclusives and layered.

Next, a length of the Gold Trim, also from the Online Exclusives was stuck across the project along the dividing line.

Finally, the focal daisy was raised up on Dimensionals.

This is a really quick and simple project and can be replicated using other stamp sets, sentiments, embellishments and more.

Countdown to Christmas 2023 – Week 4

The project for week 4 of my Countdown to Christmas 2023 series is this fun holly card.

It is a CASE of a project I’ve made previously. Check out my video all about the concept of CASE-ing.

This card uses Crumb Cake with Real Red, Garden Green, Early Espresso and Basic White.

All of the images are from the Christmas Classics Stamp Set from the September-December Mini Catalogue. I’m really enjoying this set as there are lots of different sentiments and a few images too, so it’s quite versatile.

To begin, the holly leaves are stamped in Early Espresso, then the berries are stamped in Real Red.

Next, using Watercolor Pencils, the leaves are coloured. If you wanted to, you could stamp a full sheet of cardstock, colour, then cut the sheet into 4. Great if you want to create a few in a production line style.

A touch of sparkle is added to the berries with some Wink of Stella.

For the sentiment, this is stamped in Garden Green and punched out using the 2″ Circle Punch. This punch is available from the Online Exclusives range.

To mirror the berries, a larger 2 3/8″ circle is punched out to layer the sentiment.

Using the Real Red and Garden Green Ribbon Combo Pack, two strips of the Garden Green Ribbon are added, with a length of the Real Red across the middle.

Finally, the sentiment is stuck to the project using Dimensionals.

Last Week’s Card & Cuppa – Bright & Beautiful Suite Collection

Last week’s Card & Cuppa project used items from the Bright & Beautiful Suite Collection.

This discounted Suite Collection contains the Bright & Beautiful Stamp Set and Dies Bundle, plus the Bright & Beautiful 6×6 DSP Stack. These items are used in my design. There is also some Specialty DSP in the Suite too that I haven’t used here.

The colours in the DSP stack helped me to choose my colours for the layer and stamping. I chose Blueberry Bushel and Lemon Lime Twist, along with Basic White.

This project is one of my angles designs and they are great for men, teenagers and anyone who is normally difficult to make for. They are also really quick and simple to make too.

To begin, a background is stamped in Lemon Lime Twist using one of the images from the Beautiful Balloons Stamp Set.

Three strips of DSP are then cut at the same width, but two different lengths. They are stuck to the stamped background at various angles.

Offcuts from the DSP strips are used to cut out the stars and balloon shapes.

A sentiment, also from the Stamp Set is stamped and cut out using the 1 3/4″ Circle Punch from the Online Exclusives.

Another item from the Online Exclusives is the length of ribbon from the Gold & Silver Trim Combo Pack, which is made into a swoosh.

The sentiment sits on top with Dimensionals with the die cut shapes positioned and stuck down.

Finally, some coordinating Neutrals Adhesive-Backed Sequins in silver are added. These sequins have more of a matte finish, so provide less of a ‘blingy’ effect.

Last Week’s Card & Cuppa – Layering Leaves

For last week’s Card & Cuppa project I wanted to make something neutral that would be suitable for anyone.

When I create projects like these I tend to use leaves or shapes. This time it was leaves, with the new Layering Leaves Stamp Set from the Annual Catalogue. This Stamp Set coordinates with the carryover Bough Punch.

I then chose shades of green with Garden Green, Parakeet Party and Mossy Meadow, with Basic White.

The design is one that I have used many times before, starting with stamping a ‘splat’ from the set diagonally across the page.

Next, the various leaves were stamped both tone on tone and onto Basic White, before being cut out with the punch. The larger Mossy Meadow leaves were cut out by hand.

A length of Garden Green Ribbon from the combo pack (listed below) sits across the project, with a length of the Parakeet Party In Color Metallic Wovoen Ribbon sitting on top of it.

The sentiment is stamped and punched out using the 2″ Circle Punch. If you’re wondering why you haven’t seen the punch in the Catalogue, it’s because it, along with some other circle punches are now Online Exclusives.

Using Multipupose Glue, the leaves are then attached, with some of then stuck to the back of the sentiment. As the sentiment is added using Dimensionals, this give the project more layers and depth.

Last Week’s Card & Cuppa – Cheerful Daisies Bundle

At last week’s Card & Cuppa project it was the turn of a new Bundle, along with a new colour too.

Items from the new Cheerful Daisies Bundle (Stamp Set and Dies) and Pecan Pie combined to create this pretty monochrome Birthday card. These are new products from the Annual Catalogue.

This project is a version of one of my most popular lockdown projects. So I have CASE-d myself with a monochrome twist.

If you’re not sure what CASE-ing is, then check out my video here that gives a quick overview.

Using one of the three Basics Embossing Folders from the Online Exclusives range, a background was created. It was given a vintage look with a Blending Brush and was then offset against the Pecan Pie layer.

Various images from the Cheerful Daisies Stamp Set were stamped and shapes were cut out using the coordinating Cheerful Daisies Dies.

The daisy sitting under the sentiment is again given a hint of colour using a Blending Brush.

A swoosh of ribbon from the Trim Combo Pack is then added. This is another Online Exclusive product and the other ribbon in the pack we used on the last Card & Cuppa project. It sits under the sentiment and coordinates really well with the warmth of Pecan Pie.

Finally, some Brass Butterflies are dotted across the project.

This project would look fabulous in other monochrome variations.

Last Week’s Card & Cuppa – Quiet Meadow Stamp Set & Dies Meets New Colours

At last week’s Card & Cuppa, I chose a similar theme to the previous week in combining a previous Stamp Set with new colours.

This time I chose some of the new blues of Azure Afternoon – new colour, Blueberry Bushel – returning In Color and Balmy Blue, along with Basic White.

Using the Quiet Meadow Stamp Set and coordinating Meadow Dies, I took inspiration from Page 66 of the new Annual Catalogue for my project.

The words and splats are both stamped in Balmy Blue for a background, with the words using second generation stamping.

After stamping the large floral image in Blueberry Bushel, a Blender Pen is used to move some of the colour around and to soften the white. Wink of Stella is then dotted in the centre of each of the flowers.

Azure Afternoon cardstock is used for the stem that is cut out using the Meadow Dies.

An inkpad in the same colour is used for the sentiment.

A ribbon swoosh in silver from the Gold & Silver Trim Combo Pack from the Online Exclusives range sits behind the sentiment that is raised up on Dimensionals.

Finally, some silver Festive Pearls are used to coordinate with the ribbon.

This project would be great in other colours too. Maybe shades of purple or brown.

Last Week’s Card & Cuppa – SAB Adorable Owls Stamp Set

For the first Card & Cuppa project of the year, it had to be something from the new SAB Brochure.

These Adorable Owls are, as their name suggests, simply adorable. This is a SAB Stamp Set, free with a qualifying order.

The background DSP is also a FREE SAB item. Make sure you check out the new January-April Mini Catalogue and SAB Brochure.

Using Early Espresso, the owl is stamped and then cut out with the Decorative Circle Punch. It is then coloured using Watercolor Pencils with a Blender Pen used to soften the lines.

Leaves are cut in Granny Apple Green using the Bough Punch and stuck to the DSP.

A ribbon swoosh made using the Twill Ribbon Combo Pack sits on top of th leaves.

There are several sentiments in the Stamp Set and this project combines some of them together.

These are then cut out and stuck to the owl piece. The owl is then raised up on Dimensionals.

Finally, some Iridescent Rhinestones are added to the project for a touch of sparkle.
