My project uses a colour combination of Daffodil Delight and Basic Black.

My cut out shapes are circles using the Layering Circles Dies. You can use any shape you like.

The sentiment from the coordinating Hand-Penned Petals Stamp Set is also layered onto Basic Black

Finally, a few of the Black Matte Dots are added.

Beautifully Penned Customer Thank You Cards

For those who shopped with me in July, here is the thank you card I made.

It uses the fabulous Beautifully Penned DSP. This FREE DSP can be yours during SAB.

Here I’ve teamed the black and white paper with Blushing Bride accents.

A Blushing Bride base card, with a Basic Black layer creates the perfect background for the piece of DSP.

Another piece of DSP is then cut and added, along with a shape from the Rectangle Postage Stamp Punch.

Some coordinating ribbon then adds another touch of pink.

Finally, a sentiment from the coordinating Hand-Penned Petals Stamp Set is stamped. It is cut out and layered with shapes from the Double Oval Punch.

The sentiment is raised up on Dimensionals.

I love this paper as it can be kept black and white, or you can add splashes of colour.

Last Week’s Card & (Your) Cuppa – Monochrome with Strawberry Builder Punch

As you know, I’m a fan of monochrome projects, so it was lovely to design one for last week’s Card & (Your) Cuppa Class.

The new FREE SAB Beautifully Penned DSP provides the background and the petals.

Using the Strawberry Builder Punch, the strawberries are cut out to create petals. The smaller flower and leaves are cut out using the punch too.

Each of the strawberries are arranged to create the flower. Strawberries aren’t just for eating!

A coating of Wink of Stella is added to the smaller flower before it creates the centre of the flower.

The leaves are scored down the centre and folder slightly, before they are attached to the back.

A length of the fabulous Black and White Gingham Ribbon is atttached. Then the flower sits on top of it.

My sentiment is from the Art Gallery Stamp Set and tucks in behind the flower.Monochrome with Strawberry Builder Punch. Project designed by Karen at HIPPOFROG Designs

Finally, some Silver & Clear Epoxy Essentials are placed in the centre of the flower and around the card.

I really like how the different patterns of black and work on this project. You could easily add a splash of colour if you wanted.

FREE Beautifully Penned DSP

Today I’m sharing another SAB item that you can earn for FREE until the end of September, while stocks last.

This Beautifully Penned DSP is black and white and is perfect for colouring, or leaving as it is.

It is the designs from the Hand-Penned DSP in monochrome, so it coordinates with the items from the suite perfectly. This pack has 12 sheets, 4 each of 3 double-sided designs.

For my design, I chose to keep the monochrome effect and add an accent colour.

Here I’ve used one of the sheets for the background, cut in half. Another of the sheets has some fabulous flowers on them. These are given a splash of colour using Stampin’ Blends in Polished Pink before cutting them out.

For the sentiment strip, I’ve use the Hand-Penned Petals Stamp Set.

The flowers then sit on top using Dimensionals.

There is a touch of Wink of Stella in the centre of each flower for a little bit of sparkle.

This design is great for batch making, so why not put a few together and add the sentiment of your choice.
