Last Week’s Card & Cuppa – A Trio of Purples

At last week’s Card & Cuppa class, I based the project on this one, but used a trio of purples instead.

I used Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grape, plus Purple Posy in place of Whisper White/Vanilla.

For the background stamping, an image from the Gallery Grunge Stamp Set provided the detail. As with the other project, a Sponge Dauber was used to gently highlight the stamping.

On a separate sheet, pools of Highland Heather ink were created using a Sponge Dauber, with centres added using the SAB Thoughtful Blooms Stamp Set. Once punched out with the Small Bloom Punch, these create the pretty ombre effect flowers.

For this project, I’ve used two different ribbons, the fabulous co-ordinating In Color Scallop Ribbon, and the Whisper White Seam Binding. Once again I’ve coloured the white ribbon with a Stampin’ Blend – I can’t seem to stop myself!

The card is shaped in a ‘D’ using the Detailed Trio Punch to round two corners on each layer, including the base card.

A sentiment from the Botanical Bliss Stamp Set makes this a card suitable for any occasion. Rhinestones in the centre of the flowers add a finishing touch of bling.

Card & Cuppa PLUS – Spring Birthday

Last weekend I held my first Card & Cuppa PLUS class. At these classes, the attendees make 3 projects.

The first project was this card that is perfect for a Spring Birthday.

I chose Daffodil Delight and Mango Melody from the Brights Collection, then toned them down by teaming them with Very Vanilla.

Using the script from the Very Versailles Stamp Set, it is stamped as a background. Colour is then added as a highlight with a Sponge Dauber.

Happy Birthday from the Perennial Birthday Stamp Set is punched and layered as a sentiment. It is biased slightly towards the bottom of the circle to allow room for the flowers.

On a separate piece of cardstock, a Sponge Dauber is used to create three different depth pools of Daffodil Delight. Centres are added to each pool using the SAB Thoughtful Blooms Stamp Set, and then punched out using the Small Bloom Punch.

My current favourite ribbon from the Mini Catalogue is coloured using a Dark Mango Melody Stampin’ Blend to co-rdinate with the rest of the project.

Finally, each flower has a Pearl added and is then attached to the sentiment using Glue Dots.

This week’s Card & Cuppa attendees may recognise the design. I love using designs multiple times as just by changing colours or stamp sets, it makes such a difference.

Perennial Birthday Cling-Mount Stamp Set

More Thoughtful Blooms

You may have noticed that this is one my favourite set of products from this year’s SAB offering.

So, I make no apologies for sharing yet more Thoughtful Blooms Stamp Set and Small Bloom Punch projects with you. It’s safe to say I like to get the most out of my products!

This project is a combination of this and this project. It’s a Birthday card for one of my regular Card & Cuppa attendees.

I’ve used Call Me Clover for the leaves and Calyspo Coral Stampin’ Blends for the flowers. The centre of the flowers are stamped with Smoky Slate with a pearl added to each centre.

The ribbon has also been coloured using the Light Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blend.

Have I also mentioned that this Whisper White Crinkle Seam Binding from the Mini Catalogue is my new favourite ribbon too?

It’s so soft, great for tying bows and colours beautifully using Stampin’ Blends. I’m a fan of white ribbon and twine as you can use different mediums to make it whatever colour you want.

Calypso Coral Stampin' Blends Markers Combo Pack

Last Week’s Card & Cuppa – Thoughtful Blooms

At last week’s Card & Cuppa class I headed for one of my favourite SAB sets of products this year, the Thoughtful Blooms Stamp Set and Small Bloom Punch.

Call Me Clover and Smoky Slate are the colours used for the layer, leaves, flower centre and sentiment.

The flowers were made by colouring Stampin’ Blends onto a separate piece of cardstock. A darker strip was coloured, followed by a lighter strip and an overlap of the two in the middle.

This strip was then stamped with the flower centres before being punched out. As each flower is a slightly different depth of colour, it makes a lovely effect.

Each attendee had a choice of colours from a selection I took to class. There were pinks, purples, blues and yellows used. Mine uses Mango Melody.

The lighter Stampin’ Blend from the combo was used to colour my new favourite ribbon from the Mini Catalogue to co-ordinate with the flowers.

Glue Dots are used to attach the flowers and then a pearl is added to the centre.

Happy New Year, Happy New Mini Catalogue and Happy SAB!

Happy New Year! I hope you’ve had a wonderful break.

It’s my first day back at work today after the break, and I’m looking forward to sharing new products with you.

As it’s the new year, it’s also Happy New Mini Catalogue and Sale-A-Bration (SAB) time.

Here is the first project I made using items from the fabulous new Mini Catalogue, and SAB brochure.

This project was for my Niece. As she has a Birthday just before Christmas, I wanted to make sure it wasn’t festive and had a more spring-like feel.

I opted for shades of purple, Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather and Purple Posy along with Whisper White.

The background image and sentiment are from the new Label Me Bold Stamp Set. I really like this set and think it will spend quite a lot of time on my crafting desk.

Sale-A-Bration brings us the Thoughtful Blooms Stamp Set for the background dots, plus the fabulous co-ordinating Small Bloom Punch. I have to admit to being very excited when I saw this punch.

I’ve used the gorgeous new Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon and coloured it using a Dark Highland Heather Stampin’ Blend Marker.

Again, this ribbon is going to be used on a lot of my projects over the next few months. It’s really versatile, colours beautifully and is easy to tie too.

A few Rhinestones were the finishing touch to the centre of the flowers.
