Happy as a pig in…

Today I’m sharing a really quick and easy notecard with you.

This Little Piggy and Artisan Texture Stamp Sets from Stampin' Up! Project designed and made by Karen Young at HIPPOFROG Designs

When I saw the new Artisan Textures Stamp Set in the Annual Catalogue it accidentally fell into my shopping basket! Do those sort of accidents happen to you too?

These images make a great mud bath for the pigs in the This Little Piggy stamp set.

Soft Suede and new colour Petal Pink (or Piggy Pink!) combine really well with Very Vanilla to create this fun notecard.

Shortening the Classic Label shape by punching one end again allows the sentiment to sit neatly on top.

As it’s a cute notecard, the Detailed Trio Punch also had to make an appearance to round the corners.

Who would you send a card like this too?

Last Week’s Card & Cuppa – This Little Piggy

Happy Monday and happy last day of July.

As it’s Monday, it’s time to show you last week’s Card & Cuppa project.

Stampin' Up! This Little Piggy

It uses the cute This Little Piggy Stamp Set.  This stamp set comes with sentiments and pigs on the same images.

If you pardon the pun, I’ve butchered the stamp set and cut the sentiments off the pigs.  This makes the pigs even more versatile and easier to ink up.  Please be careful if you do this as the sentiments are close to the images and you don’t want to ruin the stamps.

The little piggy image is stamped in Archival Basic Gray ink and coloured using Watercolor Pencils.  Once the images are coloured, the pencil lines are then softened using a Blender Pen.

We used a Melon Mambo Stampin’ Write Marker to colour the sentiment before punching it out.

The whole project is on a Very Vanilla notecard and I think it sets it off beautifully.

A strip of ribbon adds some bling as a finishing touch.

Don’t forget that the Bonus Days and Christmas in July promotions end today.  Make sure you don’t miss out.

If you want to join us for the next Card & Cuppa session, book your place by 18:00 the day before.

Happy crafting
