Meadow Dies Revisited

At a recent Card & (Your Cuppa), the project used the Meadow Dies.

For this Meadow Dies revisited project, I’ve taken the same items and made the project again, with a few changes.

Once again, there is a Pale Papaya and Basic White Colour scheme

Rather than for an anniversary, I chose to make this version for a Birthday, so there is the addition of Pear Pizzazz.

This time I’ve coloured the Basic White die cut pieces with Sponge Daubers.

For the sentiment, it uses the Timeless Tulips Stamp Set.

Again, the same elements of Wink of Stella on the Butterfly, plus the Fine Art Ribbon and Opal Rounds all add a touch of sparkle.

Mostly Men – A Misty Moonlight Scene

Another project from my recent Mostly Men Papercrafting Class is this Misty Moonlight scene.

A combination of Misty Moonlight and Night of Navy combine to create the project, with a Daffodil Delight light beam.

The background has texture adding using the Old World Paper 3D Embossing Folder. I thought this looked like the sea, or night sky.

The lighthouse is from the Smooth Sailing Dies. Using the tree shapes from the Majestic Mountain Dies upside down has given me the rocky outcrop for the lighthouse.

In yesterday’s post, the trees are the ‘right’ way up.

The Daffodil Delight piece is cut into the shape of a shaft of light. This has a sentiment from the Timeless Tulips Stamp Set stamped in Night of Navy.

After attaching the sentiment, all of the overhanging pieces are cut off.

As the piece is embossed, the pieces are all stuck down using Tear and Tape to give a strong hold.

For this project, you can position the lighthouse more centrally and add a shaft of light on both sides. Or leave the shaft of light blank and add a sentiment to another part of the project.

Card & (Your) Cuppa for Children – A Wave of Balloons

For my final Card & (Your) Cuppa for Children class of the summer, I designed this wave of balloons project.

It uses mulitples of the same shape in shades of blue and purple to create a fabulous card. Using the same shape multiple times is really effective. It also saves a lot of time and effort!

For my purples we have my go-to trio of Purple Posy, Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grape. My blues are Pacific Point, Balmy Blue and Seaside Spray. As there are lots of colours, they are all mounted onto a Thick Whisper White basecard. This allows each colour to pop.

The Lovely Labels Pick a Punch creates the ends of the strips and the sentiment, with the balloons cut using the Balloon Bouquet Punch.

Once everything is cut, it’s time to start arranging the pieces how you’d like them. My project has the lighter colour strips and darker balloons in the centre for a contrast. I also made the centre strip and centre balloon in the opposite colour to the others.

A couple of pieces of the Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon create a cross in the middle.

With the centre balloon attached with Dimensionals, the ‘Happy Birthday’ is from the Timeless Tulips Stamp Set is added. This sentiment works really well with the narrowest setting on the punch.

Finally, some Rhinestone Birthday bling was added.

My young students have been brilliant and have created some fabulous projects.

Mystery Pack – Pretty Petal Washi Tape

Last week’s Mystery Pack recipients received this bundle of items, including the retiring very pretty Petal Washi Tape. Along with these items, a sentiment could also be used to make a card.

I chose to use Merry Merlot, Mossy Meadow and Very Vanilla for my colour combination as they match the Washi Tape and Ribbon Combo Pack. I then added Crushed Curry.

Here is the project I made using the items from the pack.

Click on the video below to see how I put the project together, including the flower.

For the ribbon, I used one strip across the project and then added the twine at the top and bottom. I also cut the Merry Merlot Label Me Lovely Punch shape in half and put it behind the Crushed Curry piece to create a layered look.

The sentiment is from the Timeless Tulips Stamp Set using Merry Merlot ink. I think it just finshes the card beautifully and makes it a pretty project.

Last Week’s Card & Cuppa – Tulip-tastic

For last week’s Card & Cuppa session, I designed this tulip-tastic project.

It was deliberately sentiment-free to allow it to be sent as a pick-me-up to someone who is self-isolating or social distancing .

I’ve used Lovely Lipstick and Grapefruit Grove for some brighter Spring colours. I’m going to miss these In Colors when they retire in a few months time. These are combined with Old Olive and Whisper White.

The background texture is created using the Painted Poppies Stamp Set, with the big tulip from the Timeless Tulips Bundle.

For the tiny tulip punched shapes, these are from the Vases Builder Punch. If you look closely, you’ll see that these small tulips have a coat of Wink of Stella on them to give them a shimmer.

A strip of Metallic-Edge Ribbon, a shape from the Label Me Lovely Punch and a punched Circle make a base for the large tulip to sit on.

This week’s Card & Cuppa session was the final face-to-face class for the time being. However, I’ve put some new ‘Social Isolation Classes‘ together where kits will be posted out to you. We’ll then craft together using a video link.

Last Week’s Card & Cuppa – By The Dock Bundle

For last week’s Card & Cuppa I designed a project using the By The Dock Bundle.

This is a discounted Stamp Set and Die Bundle from the new Mini Catalogue and is great for more male-themed projects.

My project is a combination of several of the samples shown in the catalogue.

I used Seaside Spray and stamped tone-on-tone for the water. The Crumb Cake dock, birds and sentiment were all stamped in Soft Suede.

A few greens were used for the reeds and grass with Mossy Meadow and Old Olive cardstock and Garden Green stamping.

The co-ordinating dies were used to cut out the various shapes. You’ll notice that I chopped the bird off the edge of my dock!

There is a Birthday sentiment in this Stamp Set, but it was too large for the effect I wanted to achieve. Therefore I used the ‘happy birthday’ from Timeless Tulips cut out using the Classic Label Punch instead.

The dock, greenery and birds were all softened using a Blender Pen.

Everything was then assembled onto the Seaside Spray piece and finally attached to the base card using Dimensionals.

I love how serene this scene looks, I could quite happily sit there watching the world go by.

Timeless Tulips Photopolymer Stamp Set (English)

Last Week’s Card & Cuppa – Timeless Tulips Bundle

For last week’s Card & Cuppa project, I used the Timeless Tulips Bundle from the new Mini Catalogue.

The stamp set is one from the DistINKtive range, so the impressions are even more fabulous. Add to that the matching punch, and you’re onto a winner.

My colour combination was Poppy Parade and Daffodil Delight, keeping with a floral theme! Plus Garden Green for the stems and leaves.

We stamped the stems and leaves off first to give a slightler paler look.

This is a really quick and easy project to make as the images and punch make it so simple to create.

A co-ordinating bow made from the new Ruched Daffodil Delight Ribbon, also from the Mini Catalogue just finish the project off.

I deliberately wanted to leave this project sentiment free as it is perfect for quite a lot of different ocassions. Who doesn’t love to receive a bunch of flowers?
