A Fond Farewell to Firm Favourites

As I don’t have a Card & Cuppa project to show you this week, I’m saying a fond farewell to firm favourites instead.

The current Annual Catalogue is only valid until 3rd June, so you only have until next Monday to order any items on the Retiring List (while stocks last).

Last Week’s Card & Cuppa

For last week’s Card & Cuppa I used a set we hadn’t used before and created this pretty project.

Stampin' Up! Vertical Greetings

We first inked up the Brick Wall Embossing Folder with a Sahara Sand Ink Pad and squeezed our piece of card in the middle.  This created the brick pattern.

Using a Sponge Dauber we softened the brick work as it looked quite bright and needed ‘knocking back’.

After adding the strips of ribbon and twine, it was time for the stamping.

The tree from Vertical Greetings was inked up using the In Color 2017-2019 Stampin’ Write Markers.  Can you see how using both Lemon Lime Twist and then adding Tranquil Tide in a few places over the top has made a variegated look.

After re-moistening the stamp by ‘huffing’, it was stamped onto a separate piece of card.  We then repeated this process and inked and stamped again to create two images.

Next was the difficult decision of deciding which of the trees to use for the topiary!  After fussy cutting around the pot of the other image and then cutting in a straight line along the stem, we stuck this to the wall.

The topiary balls were then fussy cut and attached using Dimensionals.  This type of topiary is a lot easier than the real thing!

Finally, a Linen Thread bow completed the look.

Customer Thank you cards – Bunch of Blossoms

I love sending thank you cards to everyone who places an order with me.  As a local independent business I really appreciate every order.

Here is the card that should have arrived if you’ve recently ordered from me, either online or in person.

Bunch of Blossoms Stampin' Up! UK

It’s a simple card where the stamping is the star with no need for additional embellishments.

I’ve used the Bunch of Blossoms Stamp Set for the flowers and a combination of Rich Razzleberry and Sweet Sugarplum.  The flowers use two-step stampin’, but it was easy to see where to stamp as the set is Photopolymer.  On the other hand, the sentiment from Vertical Greetings needed my trusty Stamp-a-ma-jig to help me position it correctly each time.

As bundles change for each catalogue, you’ll need to take advantage of the Bunch of Blossoms Stamp Set and Blossom Builder Punch Bundle before the end of May.
