Wedding Anniversary Wishes

As there wasn’t a Card & Cuppa last week, today I’m sharing a card I made for friends for their 1st Wedding Anniversary.

The card is a nod to their wedding stationery that I helped them design and make. Fresh Freesia and Gray Granite are the colours used in their stationery too.

For this design, I used the Quiet Meadow Stamp Set to create a background.

The strip of cardstock across the middle represents the belly band that went around their stationery bundle.

Layering circles cut from the Online Exclusives Circle Punches sit above this with hearts cut from the Country Bouquet Punch on top.

I used a Blending Brush to add some shading to the large heart, and the smaller heart is coated in Wink of Stella. There was Wink of Stella on their wedding stationery.

Finally, some Rhinestones add a touch more bling.

Wedding Congratulations

Here is the card I made some friends for their recent wedding.

As I helped design and make their wedding stationery, I knew their colour scheme, so wanted to match it.

We have Fresh Freesia, Gray Granite and Basic White.

They liked the Gray Granite as it was on this card I made them for their engagement.

There were lots of hearts on their stationery, so I have stuck with that theme, but used different products.

To begin with, I chose to design a square card.

I used Blending Brushes to create a masked strip down the centre of the background piece, with the colours joining together, as they are in marriage.

Across the card, I then stamped some tiny hearts in Versamark with an image from the Penguin Place Stamp Set. I embossed these using Clear Embossing Powder and a Heat Tool.

You can’t see the hearts very well in the pictures, but you can see them in the right light.

For the hearts, I die cut shapes using the Artisan Additions Dies and stuck these onto matching cardstock. The hearts were then cut out using the Heart Punch Pack.

These were raised up on Dimensionals.

A simple sentiment sits across the bottom, similar to their thank you card design.

Finally, a few of the pretty Heart Pearls add some more hearts to the card.
